    Good afternoon,y'all!

    So I am on Day 3 of Induction. I am having a slight case of induction flu but I am making it!

    So my question is this... I feel like I might be eating too much meat. I am not sure though. Is there a limit? I know in the book it says you can eat "liberal amounts" of meat but I feel like if you eat 7 sirloins a day thats a little much... Not that I am eating that.

    For instance, yesterday I had:
    2 short ribs (they were really fatty as well)
    3 pieces of tilapia
    2 cheeseburgers (no bread. Just the meat, cheese, and mayo)
    1.5 cups of brocolli (I really hate salad, I havent been able to eat it)
    1 chicken breast w/mustard

    I am always kind of on the run and I am a horrible cook so I just basically live off my foreman grill since its so quick. Am I ok doing this? Or am I eating too much meat?

    That's not all you had, right? You had more veggies? I don't like to cook either so I get veggies that can be eaten raw: cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, jicama, bell peppers. I slice them up and put them in baggies in my backpack.

    The reason he says you can "eat until you are satisfied" is that your appetite will start to drop after induction. Where on induction I could eat a bunch of ribs and prime rib, now, as of yesterday, I was only able to eat half of my prime rib and half of my asparagus. I brought it home and had it for a snack. Before, I never had the ability to know when I was satisfied because it seemed as if I were either hungry or too stuffed to move. It was like my brain had no shut off for my mouth. If you are hungry, you do need to eat something. I would rather have some meat or boiled eggs than anything else. It is the best for you on this diet. I wouldn't worry about consuming too much calorie wize but you do need to eat more veggies.

    Do you use fitday? You should shoot for your percentages being around 65% fat, 5% carbs, and 30% protein. If you do have too much protein, your liver will store it as glycogen.

      LV while your in the first two week, you will feel like your over eating. Pay no attention and if you want 7 sirloins eat them. Just remember eat til your full, not stuffed.
      Your eating habit will change as your body gets use to low carbing.

        Don't forget those veggies... three cups in induction (either three cups of salad veggies - preferably not just nutrition poor lettuce - or two cups salad veggies and one cup of "other" induction legal veggies).

        I'll echo the others... eat to satisfy your appetite, no more, no less. You can safely eat good quantities of meat, just remember the veggies and the "appetite".
