  • Hows this..? I feel so depressed!!

    Hi ya,

    I am on induction.

    Breakfast:
    3 bacon rashers, 2 eggs, 1 onion (ALL FRIED IN BUTTER)

    Snack:
    Cheese & cucumber

    Lunch:
    Tuna & Lettuce salad

    Dinner:
    2 chicken fillets, Mushrooms and cheese.. (ALL FRIED IN BUTTER)
    (I had 150 Grams of mushrooms. Is that bad?)

    I had a really depressing day. My brother kept telling me that i'm gaining weight on this Diet.. Everytime i ate he'd shout BIG FATTY! It made me feel terrible, I nearly ate a sandwich!!!! I made it and everything in a rage, like i was some crazy person. But i threw it away before i took a bite! (Phewww!)
    He was trying to make me give up on it!

    Ps, i know that i'm losing... So i just couldn't let him beat me!!

    Anyway, i wasn't really concentrating on measuring veg and stuff.. But how does this menu sound, that i had today?




    START WEIGHT: 214lbs
    1ST MINI GOAL: 196lbs
    2ND MINI GOAL: 168lbs
    3RD MINI GOAL: 154lbs
    FINAL TARGET: 126lbs

    Sorry, but your brother is an idiot. He's slim himself, by the way? If he cannot support his sister with wishing good luck and inspiring you - then he's a prick. Sounds like he's jealous about you succeeding on this wonderful diet. Don't listen your brother, keep head up. Congratulations on your 8 lbs. Stop caring what others say, you're the most important person in this world - and you're frickin worth it! In case, your meals look fine. 150g of mushrooms + onion + cucumbers + lettuce seem a bit too much, no? Use Fitday.com & follow your carb intake. Don't cheat and show them all WHAT ANGIE CAN DO HERSELF!

      I definitely agree with Mistic. Your brother is a wanker. (Is that the right term?) I am having a bit of trouble with my friends eating my food or teasing me with food they know I can't have, and they're adults!

      Using Fitday.com is a good idea and will keep you on tract because you can experience carb creep just eyeballing amounts. It doesn't look like you had anything off plan but you might have more amount-wise than you needed. 3 -4 oz cheese a day max.

      When you feel frustrated, if you can, come in here and talk to us. It can be very upsetting when someone teases you and we are here to support you.

        My brother and i always tease each other over stupid little things, But he knows how sad i am about my weight, But he just thinks it's funny when i give up on a diet (I've gave up so many) But NO NOT THIS TIME! Thankyou for the kind words!

            your menu looks good, you just have to stay mentally strong. once you gain your self disipline, you can do anything.

              There is a thread at the top of the 14-day induction menu called something like 'weight of cups of vegetables'.
              In it Soliwit worked out how much one cup (and fractions of one cup) of the induciton veggies weighs in grams
              In it she listed
              1 cup mushrooms = 96 gr = 3.4 oz
              So your 150 grams was the equivalent of 1.56 cups of mushrooms.
              So depending on how much of the other veggies you had in your salad and snack you might have eaten more than your allowed 3 cups.
