mushroom condensed soup? HELPP!!

  • mushroom condensed soup? HELPP!!

    I know I should have posted this before i had it for lunch but Im feeling guilty for some reason.

    The nutritional facts say half (.5) cup (123g) of condensed soup contains

    Calories 110
    Fat 6g
    Cholestrol less than 5mg
    sodium 900mg
    potassium 60mg
    total carb 11g
    fiber 3g
    sugars 0g
    protein 2g

    Serving per container is 2.5

    AND I HAD THE ENTIRE CAN

    did i cheat????




    Ingredients: water, wheat flour, mushrooms, soybean oil, salt, cornstartch, cream, whey powder (milk), monosodium,glutamate, soy protein concentrate, disodium, phosphate, autolyzed yeast extract, spice, garlic powder, citric acid, matadexetrin, onion concentrate.

    well you have 20 carbs in that one can of soup. i don't know what level you are on. if it is induction you have had your maximum carbs for the day and from the wrong sources since they should primarily be from vegetables.

    If you are on OWL, I guess it depends on how far along you are. Wheat flour and corn starch are pretty much to be avoided.

      OHHHH im still in induction phase and lost 6 lbs....
      so will the weight loss stop now? do i have to start al over? im afraid to evev weigh myself now

        You should just continue as you have. We all make mistakes. Just move on.

        It is important to read labels when on Atkins. Look for those "forbidden" ingredients that are often added to food such as sugar, flour, starches and do not eat those. I posted a link to the "what you can eat on induction" list in your other post but I'll leave one here too.

          It's certainly not somehting you should have had ........... BUT don't panic ........ you may have a few days where you are not in ketosis but drink lots of water get right back on track and don't stray ......... the best policy while you are learning the ropes is not to eat anything prepared by anyone but you ......... so no canned, boxed, or store made items ......... just fresh whole meats cheese and veggies ...........

          You don't have to start over just be aware of what this may cause to happen in your bosy it may be a great learning tool for you .......... be strong if cravings resurface and also hunger returns ......... as you slip out of ketosis those things may rear their ugly heads ..........

          You can do it you will do awesome!!!!!!! 6 pounds is great BTW!

            liv is right about just moving on. the first step was to realize you made a mistake and have owned up to it. now that you have done that and have learned from that mistake just get back on track. if you haven't done so, i would suggest you read the book it has all the info you need. if you can't afford the book, atleast read all the sticky's in the induction forum board. there is alot of info on them and can help you better understand this way of eating. also there are alot of good recipes on this board for induction read them and try them they are a great help to keep you from getting bored on this way of eating.

            good luck and congrats on the 6lbs loss.
