  • Sunny's Day 1 Menu

    Will someone please give me feedback on my Day 1 menu? Even with just this food, my blood sugar never came below 253, but the doctor said not to worry as they are still "adjusting" my insulin.

    Breakfast
    1 T. low-carb catsup (1 carb)
    1 slice cheese
    1 ground beef patty
    2 large lettuce leaves for bun
    mustard

    Lunch
    2 Nathan's hot dogs
    mustard
    70 g. cucumber
    2 T. Ranch dressing

    Dinner
    1 chopped steak
    1 c. mushrooms sauteed in butter (measured before cooking)
    1 c. lettuce
    1/4 c. chopped tomato
    1/4 c. shredded cheese
    2 T. Ranch dressing

    Snack
    1 oz. pork rinds
    1 oz. string cheese
    1 diet rite (Splenda)

    128 oz. of H2O
    Sunny Sanders

    It looks good to me. There are a couple of things I would be careful with
    You are eating a few prepared items (hotdogs - hamburger patties?) that are store prepared and they CAN contain illegal items. So make sure you go over the ingredient list carefully

    Do your mustard and ketchup contain sugar? If they do I would cut them out - low carb or not.

    Look to see how much carbs there is in your ranch - you may be better off with some mayo or a vinaigrette with your veggies some times.

    Make sure that you eat enough. I don't know how big your streak was or your beef patty but I think I might starve on your menu. If you feel full that is great but don't let your self starve.

    Eggs are really great Atkins food. They are nutritious and filling so if you like them include them with your breakfast or lunch sometimes.
