    B - 1 Flax Meal muffin with tbl of butter ( these are great!)
    2 cups decaf coffee - 1 splenda each, 1 tsp of cream

    L - 4 Broiled chicken wings seasoned with rosemary, lemon & garlic powder

    D - 6 oz grilled sirloin burger seasoned with raw onion & worchestshire & dijon mustard
    3 cups of salad ( romaine, 1/2 avocado, cucumber celery, black olives, 6 grape tomatoes, scallions, evoo, wine vinegar, garlic powder, s&p.
    1 can sf black cherry soda.

    64oz of water.
    1 slice trident

    SW 254.5
    CW 249.5 (scale went up 4 lbs since Friday, but losing several inches)
    GW 160

    I am frustrated about the scale not moving. I walk a lot and believe I have been staying withing 20 carbs daily. I am on Cymbalta & thyroid meds & 50. I have been on Induction since 9/11/08. Sometimes I have eggs with my flax muffin but my appetite has been a bit slim for the past few days.
    Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I need to succeed.

    Hi, Sally!

    Are you still on Induction? Grains are not allowed until much later ... what's in your muffin, besides flax? Artificial sweetners seem to stall a lot of people, so the sf soda and gum might be a problem. Also, it's better not to have your carbs (veggies) at one sitting ... spacing them out is less of an assault on your blood sugar! I'm no pharmacist or MD, so I can't advice about the effect of your meds on the program .. I'll leave that to more knowledgable Atkineers!

      Thanks Norah. The flax meal muffin recipe was on the induction menu. It is 1/4 flax meal, 1egg, 1/2 baking powder, 1 tbl cinnamon & 1 pkt of splender. It has 1.5 carbs. Is this not a legal choice?

        Hi,

        I make a flax muffin with:

        2 tbsp flax
        1 egg
        1 tbsp melted butter
        1/2 tsp baking powder

        This muffin is very satisfying and has only have the flax as the muffin you are making. The limit for flax is 1 - 2 tbsp per day.

          Hello,
          I'm with Norah and Valcan on the Flax. Unfortunately the original Flaxmeal muffin recipe isn't Induction friendly. It can be eaten on Rung 3 Seeds and nuts.
          On Induction we're allowed "1 Tbls" of flaxmeal for the use of fiber. Page 76, DANDR.
          I agree with Norah also about spreading your veggies out throughout the day. Keeping a steady glucose level throughout the day is important.
          The SF gum and SF soda may be culprits in stalling your weightloss. Everyone is different when it comes to artificial sweetners.
          I have Hypothyroidism, as long as I keep my thyroid levels up and checked often I continue to sustain my weightloss and still lose.
          If it were me I'd lose the soda, gum and find a replacement for the minute muffin and spread your veggies out throughout the day.
          See if the scale moves then.
