  • Doubting my menu...

    I just need some reasurrance or correction on my menu so far. Iam on my first day of induction. I really hope iam on the right track, I havent missed my carbs one bit! Thanks Oh and diet rite soda just want to make sure its allowed...*fingers crossed*

    For BF I had one serving of
    CHEESEBURGER QUICHE
    1 pound ground beef
    1/3 cup onion, chopped, 1 3/4 ounces
    1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced, 1 1/4 ounces
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 cup cream
    8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Makes 6 servings Per Serving: 465 Calories; 40g Fat; 24g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1.5g Net Carbs

    Snack one srvg
    CUCUMBERS IN SOUR CREAM
    2 cucumbers, peeled, 14 ounces
    1/4 cup sour cream
    2 green onions, finely chopped
    Pinch dill weed, optional

    Makes 4 Per 1/4 Recipe: 46 Calories; 3g Fat; 1g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs

    One deviled egg

    Lunch
    TUNA PATTIES
    2 6-ounce cans tuna, drained
    2 eggs
    1/2 teaspoon celery salt
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    2 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
    2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, 1/2 ounce
    2 tablespoons oil and/or butter

    Makes 2servings Per 1/2 recipe: 455 Calories; 40g Fat; 42g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs



    Snack
    1 cup lettuce, romaine
    2 TBSP Ranch
    1 Deviled egg

    Dinner
    2 Bratwurst
    1 cup cabbage fried in butter and evoo

    Your menu looks fine to me, Melisa, as well as very tasty!!
    And as long as you stick to the serving sizes you should be well within your daily limits for cheese and cream!

    You might just doublecheck the ingredients of the bratwurst in case they have sugar or starch in them - they should not if they are a traditional recipe but sometimes do, so best to make sure!
