Re: On EX Ind.. here's my menu... just 2B sure.
During induction (extended on not), you should eat 2 cups of salad veggies and 1 cup of 'other' veggies. Right now you are only eating 1-1/4 cup salad veggies and 1 oz onion... which is WAY less than 1 cup. (for today)
You have days in which you don't eat veggies *at all*!! (Nov 8th for example)
Also, your percentages should be 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein. You are eating too much protein and not enough fat.
The sweetener should be kept at maximum 3 servings per day. Right now you have 4. (for today)
You are eating that sesame dressing... Check for sugars or wheat flour among the ingredients. It seems to me it has too many carbs for being 'legal'.
This is just a personal opinion, but maybe you should try eating less processed meat. Most of it has tons of sodium and some carbs. At least make sure it's not cured with sugar.
Here are some links. It would worth taking some time to read them.

Thanks for replying Georgiana!!! My DH does all the processing of the deer so I can confirm that there aren't any added sugars BUT tons of sodium etc... I'm gonna do a new clean induction.
I thought we could have 4 servings of splenda/day... that was wrong. I actually do have the book, I've had it for years... I guess I didn't know as much as I thought I did.
You know what, the curing spices are from a catalog, there very well could be hidden sugars in there and I'm eating them with wild abandon!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review my menu, I really appreciate it!
I should have realized something was up because I have become increasingly hungry over the last 2 days and if I remember how my body reacts with this diet, I must have eaten hidden sugars somewhere....at least that's what I'm thinking.

So how is your menu working for you? Are you losing? Do you need suggestions about improvements because you are not losing or just for some comments.
I agree with Georgiana's comments about needing to add some more veggie carbs here and there. Veggies are healthy stats.
I don't know your stats but you are not eating a lot. If you stop losing I would start adding some fat and perhaps cut down a bit on protein. If it is working for you. Well then it is all good.

Re: On EX Ind.. here's my menu... just 2B sure.
Hi Liv - well I lost 5lbs on the first 2weeks of induction, I have a total of 72lbs to lose. My 2 week period was up on 11/12 but I haven't lost anything in 9 days because I lost most 4.5lbs on my first week of induction ending 11/5/08.
This is a way of life for me so I wasn't thinking too much about it, figuring it will eventually come off, BUT now that I'm writing this and having Georgiana look at my menu I totally sabotaged myself but eating things I thought were induction legal and apparently they weren't
I also had a baby 5mos ago, could the lack of weight loss be a result of that? I didn't think I was eating too many calories because I need to watch that, even while on atkins, because I found that I would actually gain if I ate over 1200 or so.
UGH!!!!

Re: On EX Ind.. here's my menu... just 2B sure.
11/6/08 I totally caved into the sugar craving and ate some candy left over from halloween.
The good thing about this is that within 30mins of eating all that sugar I got an incredible headache and felt completley nauseaus and felt almost "hung over" the following day.
I did great all day then just weakened up at 7:30 that night.... nothing I'm proud of!
