  • Too much prime rib?

I'm not much of a cook so I'll eat what is usually left over.

B - Prime Rib, Atkins chocolate shake
    L- Prime Rib
D - Prime Rib, Caesar salad, 2 oz cheese.

Working on 2nd pint of water with 2 more to go.

    Thank you,
    Babs

Lose the cheese and the shake, add some more veggies and you've got yourself a menu. You should eat real food, those shakes aren't real. The cheese??? Try to find some pastured cows and eat that cheese if you must.

Cool! Tomorrow will be more prime rib! I hate to throw away food. More caesar salad and maybe some cream of brocolli soup? Thanks!

Look for some pastured beef as well.

          Re: Too much prime rib?

That looked a bit like the menu I had right before Christmas. Bought a really big prime rib roast that was a good deal and then it was prime rib roast for a lot of meals. I really liked it.
I don't think you have to lose the cheese. Cheese is allowed on induction and I see no reason to avoid it. What you have to watch is that you do not have too much proteins over the day. It is better to keep up the fat than making proteins too high. I made a mushroom cream sauce to go with my steak and it really did the trick (in so many ways )
Also like TWS says more veggies would be great. Some veggies for every meal is perfect. Broccoli soup would be great. Otherwise I would just continue to enjoy it.

Babs, I agree with liv in that you are allowed 3-4 ounces of cheese per day on Induction and that you should eat a variety of vegetables from the acceptable foods list throughout the day. TWS has a great point of eating natural, whole foods. So, yes, lose the shake. I should take TWS' advice and add farm-raised meat and the like to my shopping list.

There is a great Creamy Spinach Soup recipe that I've made before ~ you could substitute broccoli for the spinach. It's really yummy!

Good luck! When you have questions, just ask.
