  • Help with Day 2?

    Hey y'all-

So here's my menu for tomorrow:
    http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=fluffytofit

    B-1 egg with 1 T butter, 2 sl bacon, .5 c spinach, 1T cream (in decaf coffee)
L-1c lettuce, 2T Caesar dressing, 1 serving Whooshie Pie
    S-1 c celery, 1T Caesar
    D-5 oz steak, 1/4 c green pepper, 1 T onion, 1 T butter

My question is this: Right now I have 6% carbs, 71% fat, 23% protein. How can I reduce my fat and carbs? Or is this ok?

    Thanks!

No reason to reduce fat or carb. It does not have to be that accurate everyday. You're not overdoing carbs or fats by any means. And you are already planning to eat so little that reducing is not the way to go. Adding may be better. So there is room for a snack in there should you be hungry. Perhaps some deviled eggs? Celery stick with some cream cheese?
Don't forget to drink plenty of water.

Ahhhh, thank you! I was going to have cream cheese with my celery, but since I'm having heavy cream and whooshie pie tomorrow, I thought it might be best to just dip my celery in dressing. Thanks so much!

Liv's right, Fluff - if anything, this is pretty light. You do not need less carbs. On induction, aim for 20 net carbs - you are smart to try to get the most nutrients for your carb "buck", too. (Many start out thinking they must live on iceberg lettuce).

You can adjust your 6% carbs AND your % fat to be smaller % numbers simply by adding more protein. Might be best to have a little protein as a snack with plenty of water periodically throughout the day (day 2 of induction is extra tough for a lot of people). I found sipping chicken or beef bouillion useful, along with the celery and crunchy pork rinds during this time.
