  • 3 weeks doing this.

Hello. I was wondering how this menu sounds. I have read the book before, but if I make it too complicated, then I won't do it. I need quick and easy foods. I am trying to create a lifestyle--something that I can live with. My wife says I look thinner (without me asking), but when I measured my waist (today), I didn't lose any inches. I started January 5th. And...what is the easiest way to know I am in ketosis? Strips Thanks for your help.

    breakfast: 2-3 sausage patties (or 10 0z steak)+ 2 fried eggs
    or
"french toast" = 2 eggs, 1/4 c heavy whipping cream,
cinnamon, 2 packets splenda, 1 oz crushed pork rinds. +
    sugar free syrup.

    lunch/dinner: McDonalds/B.King/Hardees side salad with
cesar or blue cheese + double or triple cheese
    burger with no ketchup.

snacks: russel stovers sugar free chocolates 1-3 servings a
    day.

drink: about 2 liters of water/ day

I think the thing you need to improve with your menu is

*the amount of sweetener you are consumer. We are restricted to three servings and some us cannot even do one. So I would say cut out those chocolates. Especially now in induction. They are full of sugar alcohols and some of process those carbs. Replace with other snack that is full of protein and fat - such as boiled eggs, sugar free jerky or pepperoni, avocado, olives.

*Also try to get in a few more veggies. Do you like peppers? They can be good snacks. Full of vitamins and overall healthy.

*The salad dressings used at fast food stores are very carby and sugary. You may want to buy one in the store and bring with you instead

      *Drink plenty of water. Always

      I hope that helps.
