  • In Induction hoping for some menu help

HI Everyone, I am hoping someone can help me in a different way. I do not have a ton of weight to lose, but 25 pounds is a lot to me. I am on day (ending) 11 with no weight or inch loss at all. A few people have looked at my menus but I was hoping someone that has lost weight on induction could share their menu with me, so I could learn from a real person-Not a book or "standard" menu format created by an excel spread sheet. I am very frustrated and feel alright that I have seen no loss, but at the same time, I need to figure out what I might be doing wrong... I am going to have to continue induction to learn the right way to do this-I really thought I was being true to the book 2002 edition, but maybe I am missing something. 1800 calories could be just too many calories? Here again is my link to fit day-I am done eating for the day and maybe someone could share a successful induction menu with me? Thank you! Re: In Induction hoping for some menu help

Your diet looks on for the most part, but watch your veggie intake.

You don't seem to be eating 2 cups of the "salad" vegetables a day, and you're eating more than 1 cup of the "other" vegetables.

I personally stall/plateau every time I eat cauliflower. I still enjoy it, but I know when I eat it I'm going to stall. And, that's one veggie I noticed we both have.

I'm gonna pull out my journal for you and tell you exactly what I've ate on some sample days (although I know I don't always follow induction correctly).

    1-16-9

    Tuna "Jambalaya"
(1 can tuna, mayo, spicy brown mustard, onion, celery, jarred jalapeno slices, one string cheese diced up, and cajun seasoning)
Coffee with 3 splenda and Heavy Whipping Cream

    Water
    2 Whopper Jr.s no bun
    w/ mayo and fixins

    Hamburger Broccoli Alfredo
    Diet Dr. Pepper
1 Sugar Free candy (Russel Stover's)

So, right there. Not a perfect day. But, I'm being honest. (No one ever sees my menu! lol) And, I'm just picking days completely at random so you can see a realistic version of what I eat, but whopper jr's are SO NOT the norm for me either. That night I lost a pound and a half.

    1-18-9

    Hamburger Broccoli Alfredo
    Coffee
    SF Iced Tea

    Chicken Breast
Yero Sauce (sour cream, tiny diced cucumbers, salt, and pepper)
    Lettuce
    Water

    Whip Cream
    sprinkled with cinnamon
    Diet Coke
Saganaki (made w/o flour at my work)
    SF Grape Drink

    Steak
    2 SF Candy

Again, none of my days are perfect. I lost 1 pound that day.

    1-25-9

    SF candy
    SF Grape Drink

    Chicken Breast
w/ Pizza Sauce, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, sour cream
    1/2 Avocado

    Tuna "Jambalaya"
    Diet Coke
"Fluffy Jello" (sugar free jello packet dissolved in one cup boiling water and then blended with one pack of cream cheese 8? oz. and chilled overnight)

    "Awesome Chicken"
(pork rinds ground up, parmesan cheese, italian seasoning, salt, pepper and cajun... dip the chicken in egg and then the ground pork rind & seasoning mixture and bake at 375 for 7-8 min a side)
    One egg half, deviled
    SF Pink Lemonade

    Cheese "Chips"
    Water

    2-6-9

    Cajun Chicken
    Bleu Cheese Dressing
    Mozzarella and Cheddar
    Lettuce
    Water

    Babybel Cheese
Ground beef w/ SF ketchup, mayo, horseradish
    Another Babybel Cheese
    SF Pink Lemonade

    Lil' Smokies
    Water

I think I need to start writing down what I eat more actually now that I'm retyping this instead of just jotting it down and tossing it to the side,I can see how far off from a legal induction I really am... I was flipping through trying to find a "good" day... but I have a lot of sugar free stuff daily it seems. Lately, Ihaven't though, but I haven't been writing!

One of my favorite breakfasts is:

    Squash Zucchini Quiche

A bunless burger or chicken on a salad is a typical lunch

And, dinner is usually chicken or pork.
Another thing I made that tastes SO GOOD I thought for sure I'd gain weight was Linda's Meatloaf.

But, overall, I think if you stress too much about losing you might be releasing hormones that will make your body hold on to the weight you're worried about in the first place.

I say, and I might get attacked for saying so, but I think if you wing it for a few days, stop measuring every little morsel, stop recording your food intake, and just relax, eat what you now is legal and you know tastes good, you might give your mind a break and your body might start dropping for you.

I hope this helped a little. (Not saying copying my foods will help you... but I hope it was along the lines of what you were looking for.)
