    Today,

1 egg white + 1/2 cup broccoli + half cup mushrooms.

Way too much peanuts ( 3 cups)

    grilled chicken.

Whipped cream, i think. ( it is powder whipping cream and i add some water and mix it till itmakes whipped cream ) Tastes nice. About half cup.

I think i messed up my diet today dont you ? I weight 3 lbs more than when i did when i woke up this morning. However, i am going to run in a minute, 1 mile everyday.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

What phase of Atkins are you in?

If it's Induction, you shouldn't be eating those peanuts, especially in that amount, and a half cup of whipped cream is waaaay over the limit too. Your vegetable amounts are too low.

If it's OWL, the peanut amount is too much. Your vegetable amounts are too low.

If it's Pre-Maintenance: same as OWL.

For any phase, you've eaten hardly any protein. You've had more carbs, than fat.

I am in extended induction, or maybe OWL if u wanna call it that.

I still need to lose about 10 lbs. And maintain ofcourse.

Do u think that will affect me really badly ? there is a 3 lbs difference between what i weighed this morning when i woke up and now 7:00 pm.

        1. Why just the egg white, and not the whole egg? The yolk has lots of great stuff in it that's good for you.

        2. You said it yourself -
        way too many peanuts
        3. Throw a handful of spinach in with those mushrooms, if you wish

        4. Have a salad with the chicken, or divide the veggies between breakfast and lunch

        5. Are you absolutely sure it's whipped cream, or is it Dream Whip, Nutriwhip, or some other substitute? If so, it would be full of sugars and starches.

        6. You need more fat (the egg yolk would help).

Seems like a very sparse menu. Drop the peanuts - you really don't need them. What you need is a pile of stuff from the Acceptable Foods List, instead.

If you are on an "extended Induction" then you have to follow the rules for Induction. The amount of nuts/seeds you can add is 1 ounce. 1 ounce is the limit for OWL too.

One day of this might not set you back, but if you persist, it might.

Re-read the book and start following the rules.

In that case you ought to start climbing the OWL ladder in earnest NOW.
Dr A said we should lose the last 5-10 pounds in premaintenance so you are cutting it fine by staying in induction still.

Read the OWL stickies and start to plan increasing your veggies by 5 carbs tomorrow!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I agree - fried or poached eggs are not the same if there is no toast under them - so I make microwaved flax bread - recipe here: http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/recipe...and%20Biscuits

1/4 of the recipe contains 1 heaped Tablespoon of ground flax and helps with any 'fibre' problems you may be having too.
