    Re: Please Review My Menu!!

    It looks pretty good.
Looks to me like you are eating vegetables for rung 1 -which is fine at this point. Are you counting your carbs?

Also I think there may be too little food there. But it depends on the portions and stuff. Run your menu through fitday and see what kind of numbers you get for carb, fat, protein and carbs FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal

      Re: Please Review My Menu!!

I hate fitday. I tried it and it is such a pain. My portions are normal size, and I am staying around 16-20 carbs a day. I find sometimes that I'm not really hungry. I've just added cauliflower to my diet, but I had been eating broccoli since induction, no more than one cup a day and plenty of salad!!

So far my menu for today is:
      Breakfast
      Genoa Salami - 4-5 pcs (0 carbs)
      Spinach Egg Bake (2.9 carbs)
8 oz coffee w/ cream & sweet N Low ( I don't have this every day, but sometimes I get a hankering for it - and trust me it's over, I couldn't finish it this morning - 1.0 carbs)
1/2 slice Muenster cheese (.5 carbs)

      Lunch -
Veggie Omelet from Shari's (7 carbs)
      3 chicken wings (baked) ( 0 carbs)
      1 c broccoli w/ cheese (4.5 carbs)

      Dinner -
Probably some baked fish and a salad

Normal size portions? Yes. I wish I knew what they were.
Genoa salami would have carbs? At least the kind I eat
You were not within the one cup from this list rule in your first post which is why I said that you were eating more like OWL rung 1.

So are you having issues or are you just looking for a bit of feedback in the middle of something.

I think if you are losing. I would say you are on the right track. I did not see any red flags in your menu. Are you enjoying Atkins?

              Re: Please Review My Menu!!

Yeah, I'm really not missing the carbs. I think now that I'm enjoying more of a variety of foods I want to be extra careful that I'm not going "overboard". I love steak, cauliflower is my new best friend, it's just really easy now that my carb cravings are over. I went to Shari's today with my husband and didn't even desire to have a slice of pie or a cinnamon roll!! I am really thankful for this WOE because I was a complete sugar addict. It's just amazing how much of a change has taken place within these 17 days. That's the longest I have ever stuck with any change in my diet! I'm just really looking forward to October 19, it's my 7 year marriage anniversary, and I want to look HOT for my big daddy!!! LOL -

                Re: Please Review My Menu!!

It looks as if you are doing great

As Liv says you seem to be eating on a rung one of OWL level rather than induction, but we always try to get people to move to at least OWL rung one once they have done their first 14 days and start to want more veggies

Keep up the good food choices
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
