  • Need help with (non-alcoholic) drinks

I am confused on diet drinks. Are they ok or not? I am in week 2 of Induction, and have lost 7 pounds. I have cut back to about 1 diet soda a day, and also drink crystal light (sugar free) and green tea (iced, non-sweetened).

Obviously these drinks haven't affected my weight loss so far, but I read mixed things about diet drinks, saying they can cause stalls. Also, on fitday it says that crystal light has .5 carbs per serving (??).

    Would appreciate help on:
    1. Diet Soda
    2. Tea
    3. Crystal Light
    THANK YOU!

It is important to get in the at least 64 oz of normal water. Water really helps.

As far as the diet drinks there are three rules that we follow

*No more than three total servings of sweetener a day
**Aspartame may be a staller and is not recommended (but if you are OK with it then go for it)
*** Caffeine may be a staller

If fitday counts carbs in crystal light maybe it has some. Manufacturers are allowed to say zero carb if carb content is under 0.5 per serving. But I don't know this. Tea also has some carbs.
