    6:00 am 1hr 30min workout 6 days per week

    water: 16 oz.

    breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs
    1 slice cheese
    3 slices ham or tin vienna suasages
    decaf tea with 3 packets splenda


    Lunch: baked chicken or ham with cooked veg
    diet coke or diet pepsi or diet snapple
    or sometimes popeyes chicken
    or chicken salad

    water: 16 oz.

    snack: peanuts or 1 slice ham or handful fruitloops,or bite size snicker

    Dinner: stirfry chiken with tin mix veg
    diet coke or pepsi or diet snapple

    snack: handful peanuts or pistachios or smirnoff ice

    now i know some of the snacks arent allowed but they are done like about 3 x a week and i would think that my sweat drenching work out in the mornings would just wipe out those carbs in the snacks


    and i have not lost anymore weight since about feb and if i work out for any longer i'm gonna pass out i already feel dizzy sometimes while excersising

    :yikes Snickers, friutloops????????????what diet are you on????Thats not allowed nono.............tin sausage nono........You need more water...................No candy fruitloops and re read the book,,,,

      No amount of working out justifies eating crap foods.
      This is a 3 step program:

      1. Read DANDR.
      2. Follow DANDR.
      3. Reap the reward.

        your sclaes and tapemeasure are telling you no you are not using up those carbs in your workouts as you think. You aren't even doing Atkins.

        if you are feeling dizzy you really need to see your doc and get that fixed first as it could be anything from inner ear to electrooyte imbalance.

        then read your DANDR and usderstand the role of insulin in losijng body fat and how every time you call the insulin out to play with your sugar carb foods it interfers with the fat burning going on.

          wow... so even if i eat about 8 or 10 pieces of fruit loops i am not on atkins

          okay then i think thats ridiculous and i have about three atkins books.
          i tried this diet in early 2002 when i was about 175 lbs and lost alot of weight, and that time i didnt even understand the diet even drank reg. sodas and snacked on all kinds of junk

          you know what i just think that maybe becuase i've gotten a little older and closer to my goal its harder now
          but i refuse to think that i cant even lose 1 pound just becuase i snacked on some fruit loops
          but any way its for my own good i dont want to just can be able to wear my bikini right now on the beach ,i wanna look great so
          i've already begun from this week to just make sure i stay in ketosis,
          thanx for the info guys
          i guess when i'm making oatmeal for my boyfriends breakfast tomorow morning i'll make sure not to taste it to see if its cooked or sweetened properly becuase i guess i wont be on atkins anymore :no

              The reason people say "if you eat fruitloops or snickers you aren't on Atkins" is not to upset you but because it is true! You may be eating lowcarb but Atkins 'forbids' eating things with ingredients that are not correct for the stage of Atkins you are on.

              For example - fruit loops are made of wheat and also contain sugar. On Atkins you can have wheat products once you are on the grain rung of OWL if your body can handle it. And sugar - well we all know that isnt allowed on any weightloss regime!

              And a funsize Snickers? Well I am not sure which size that is but here is the nutrition table for all the different sizes of Snickers from Mars Inc

              And here is what is in the bar

              SNICKERS® Bar ingredients: milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, lactose, skim milk, milkfat, soy lecithin, artificial flavor), peanuts, corn syrup, sugar, skim milk, butter, milkfat, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, lactose, salt, egg whites, artificial flavor
              When you look at that list it isnt hard to see why you are having problems losing 'even 1 pound'.

              Hope this helps you to understand why you are having problems losing weight now. You said it correctly - you are now older and your body is different from what it was before when you lost weight on a lowcarb diet before.

              So why not give yourself the gift of maximising your chances and try doing Atkins by the book for a few weeks? What you have got to lose? Maybe some excess pounds? :hug

              F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
