    Yesterday was my first day of induction. This is what I ate:

    Breakfast
    1 slice Spinach and Mushroom Quiche
    3 strips of bacon

    Lunch
    1 cup romaine salad with mushrooms
    2 tablespoons of ranch dressing

    Dinner
    1 serving of Taco Bake
    1 cup romaine salad with spinah
    2 tablespoons of ranch dressing

    Snack
    1 oz of pork rinds with splenda and cinnamon and one tablespoon of butter

    Water
    80 oz

    Exercise
    1 hour walk

    Does the ranch dressing have sugar in it? Most of the brands that I have seen have quite a bit of sugar.

    What is taco bake?

      The ranch has 1 gram of sugar, and I got the Taco Back recipe from Linda's Low Carb Recipe site. The recipe indicated that it was okay for the induction period.

        I don't know how much you weigh or how tall you are or how much you have to lose. That kind of information is helpful sometimes. My thought was that you are not eating a lot and I would worry about eating a salad without proteins for lunch. Better if you could add some meat, tuna or egg to go with it. Other wise it is very clean. Definelty on the right track

          Opps, I did have some grilled chicken with my salad at lunch. Forgot to add that.

          I am 5'8 and I currently weigh 242. My goal weight is 185.

          So knowing that I had chicken with my salad, do you think that I'm still not eating enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

              Yes Liv, this is my second day. I'm doing fine so far. I'm just trying to keep my eye on the prize of meeting my weight loss goal. I will just take it a day at a time!

                Did you look up the net carbs of everything you eat?

                It's really important, imho, to journal everything you eat when you're first beginning.

                It's how you learn!

                You can keep a paper journal, you can do it online (FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and All Things Food and Diet - FatSecret are good).

                How much WATER did you have?

                Remember ... this is a learning process!!!
