  • Ok Induction First Day

    This is my first day foods - tomorrow. I know it doesn't look great, but I can't go grocery shopping until Friday, so I have to make do with what I have. I will add more veggies this weekend!

          Spinach is the only thing I have besides green beans to get in some veggies. I don't even care for it, but wanted the greens! Should I take it off? I know that would leave me with just meat and cheese, but the spinach has a higher carb count than I wanted

            You should get plenty of nutrtion from veggies. And you are allowed three cups of them (but you should measure the cups raw) Also most of your carbs per day should come from vegetables. That is not true for that day. You only list spinach as your veggie that day and it does not make up over half of your carbs.

            Otherwise it is pretty good. I personally would not eat meat with carbs like bologna and pepperoni (both of them likely have sugar) and though 4 oz of cheese is allowed it may cause constipation for some and also be a hinder for weighloss. So you may have to think about it.

            Many on this board (and other other boards) find that the Atkins products are stallers. I cut out shakes in my induction and started to lose again. Only used them as emergency things afterwards.

            And drink only clean water. Lots of it.
