    Re: Menu Check Please

    Yes it is looking good.
You have not made your fitday public so I could not see how many calories etc you had.

    Breakfast
Whole eggs are good to eat - egg white is like a WW thing - on Atkins we want the fat in the yellow part. Ricotta cheese is not allowed on induction. It did not seem very sustantial as a breakfast to me. More fat would give you more of staying powder and you may not need that snack.

Snack was fine but you are not following Atkins recommendations for how much cauliflower you can eat one day. ONLY one cup (and then you cannot eat any tomatoes or beans the same day) 2 cups of salad veggies and then 1 cup of other veggie is the recommendation in the book.

    Lunch looks good
The next snack was good but there is a limit of 3-4 oz of cheese. So watch your daily cheese. Get your fats from lard, oils, mayo or butter instead

Supper - lamb is my favourite. Lucky you
Beans are good but I think they are in the second list of veggies and you aleady getting most of your veggies from that list.

    SO my overall pointer are
It is pretty good. I do not see any sugars or any thing
    Drink only water
    Watch your cheese
Make sure you get 65% of calories from fat every day

      Re: Menu Check Please

I cant tolerate the yellow of the eggs, I am following the induction plan from the atkins site as close as possible, and ricotta was on that so i will be more careful. the 6 Florets were also from the atkins 2 week menu plan. i will check fit day and make public im new to it you see.

i dont understand about the 2 lists of veggies? could you explain a little what you mean by that?

          Well that explains it.
Their plan is different from the one we stick with. We use the last book Atkins published. Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution from 2002. And all the rules I relayed are from that book. It is our mantra here. And the advice you will see is based on that book.

Sounds like you are off to a really good start then.
Congratulations on your pounds. Keep it going.
Great that you have the book so you can see what those rules are.

There's also an FAQ subforum on this site with lots of good information while you are reading the book.

                  >>with a dessertspoon of Ricotta cheese>>

Ricotta is a fresh cheese and not allowed on Induction ... even a dessertspoon amount.

                    OMG

                    I didn't know this!

I don't have the book so I was using the list from the website. I printed it out and have it hung up on my fridge.

I ate avocado last night, not a whole one but 2 slices.

Maybe that delayed my weight loss. Wednesday I lost 3lbs and today I lost nothing.

                    This was my menu:

Breakfast: 3 whole eggs and 3 egg whites with some shredded Chihuahua Supremo Mexican cheese on top sprinkled.

For Lunch: Hibiscus tea. No sugar nor substitute like splenda either. So I heard this is good for water retention. I wasn't really hungry to eat so that was it.

For Dinner: 1 broiled steak not too thick. 21/2 cups of frozen cut up broccoli florets with 2 kraft yellow cheese singles (not the fat free or low fat kind just regular) 1/4 of an avocado.

I think I got a little carried away with the broccoli.

Avocado is allowed during Induction, although it does not count as a vegetable. It is among the "Special Category Foods" on the Acceptable Foods List.

Your weight today is not necessarily determined by what you ate yesterday.

And the scale is just a tool. It doesn't measure fat loss. The number can go up even if you lost fat.
