  • Ok i'm ready for my menu check

Breakfast: 3 whole eggs and 3 egg whites with some shredded Chihuahua Supremo Mexican cheese on top sprinkled.

For Lunch: Hibiscus tea. No sugar nor substitute like splenda either. So I heard this is good for water retention. I wasn't really hungry to eat so that was it.

For Dinner: 1 broiled steak not too thick. 21/2 cups of frozen cut up broccoli florets with 2 kraft yellow cheese singles (not the fat free or low fat kind just regular) 1/4 of an avocado.

I think I got a little carried away with the broccoli

So far I think the mexican cheese, the kraft cheese and the avocado were wrong for induction....If anyone knows let me know...

    Today for breakfast:

a saute with olive oil and a little of I can't believe its not butter and chopped chicken breast 1/2 a breast that is, 1/4 green bell pepper, less than a handful of chopped onion maybe half a handful, and a handful of largely chopped mushrooms. Little bit of mustard on the side.

a cup of tea no sugar or splenda Flavor: green tea & ginseng

    and lots of water...

did exercise one of the Firm Workout videos for 15 minutes I couldn't do more,
My 2 year old was with me in the living room rolling around and doing flips so I was scared I would bump into him or hit him with my weights, he is the type of little boy who is very active and won't go play on his own...he is too attached to go where ever I go ...LOL

So i'm thinking of getting up early before he gets up so i can do my workouts

    Anyone with a toddler/s 2-3 years old?

If the cheese is fresh cheese (like Ricotta), that is an OWL Rung 2 food, not appropriate for induction. Otherwise OK.

For Lunch: Hibiscus tea. No sugar nor substitute like splenda either. So I heard this is good for water retention. I wasn't really hungry to eat so that was it.

Not appropriate. You should be eating every 6 hours that you are awake. You may wish to consider eating a smaller breakfast so that you have some appetite for and can eat a bit of lunch.

For Dinner: 1 broiled steak not too thick. 21/2 cups of frozen cut up broccoli florets with 2 kraft yellow cheese singles (not the fat free or low fat kind just regular) 1/4 of an avocado.

What are the ingredients in the cheese? The veggies should be spread out throughout the day and divided between either 3 cups of "salad veggies" or 2 cups "salad veggies" and 1 cup "other veggies". See http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html for more info.

So far I think the mexican cheese, the kraft cheese and the avocado were wrong for induction....If anyone knows let me know...

The avocado is fine. See above for comments on the cheese.

a saute with olive oil and a little of I can't believe its not butter and chopped chicken breast 1/2 a breast that is, 1/4 green bell pepper, less than a handful of chopped onion maybe half a handful, and a handful of largely chopped mushrooms. Little bit of mustard on the side.

Any reason why you can't use real butter instead of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter? I can see using up what you already had, but try to use the real stuff from now on (....ain't nothing like the real thing, baby!). Other than that, try to keep track of your veggie portions and the carbs from all sources. You don't want to get into a habit of not tracking portions/carbs, then get discouraged because your results are less than what you'd hoped!

    and lots of water...

How much? 64 ounces minimum, some people use 1/2 their body weight as a daily goal in ounces.

    *raises hand*

A 2-year-old and a 5-month-old. My exercise is chasing the former while lugging around the latter! (I also put 'em in the stroller and walk with them, that way, they are contained and I get my exercise.)

This was not great. A little bit of fat or protein would be good here. Also you want to spread your veggies out throughout the day so since you had no veggies for breakfast you should have some for lunch. What would you usually eat for lunch?
I like a cup of tea once in ahwile too.

broccoli is limited to one cup daily. On Atkins as we do here some veggies you can have two cups of and some you can have one off.
Kraft cheese is not real cheese and not allowed on induction.
      Avocado is good.

It was good that you had some veggies today. Try to measure them in cups to get an idea of how much you can have a day.
I like the lost of water

Your todler sounds great. It is such wonderful years those. Enjoy them. Maybe you have to lift him?

A note on Kraft cheeses. The American slices that are individually wrapped (Kraft Singles) are not a real cheese product (whey, whey protein among the ingredients).

Look for Kraft Deli Deluxe (should be right near the other American cheeses). This is acceptable for Atkins. Linda Sue uses Kraft Deli Deluxe in her Cheezits recipe.
