    Hi everyone!

Hoping to have some feedback on my typical menus (2). Usually I alternate my lunchs and dinners (pork, beef and chicken).

    TYPICAL MENU 1
    B. 2 egss and machaca
Machaca - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    S1. Pork rinds (about 30grs)
    L. 300grs Beef steak (fat eaten haha) - cup of lettuce and olive oil
S2. Half cann of sardines (oil canned)
    D. Roasted Chicken (3 pieces)-cup of lettuce and olive oil

    TYPICAL MENU 2
    B. 2 eggs and bacon
    S1. Pork rinds (about 30grs)
    L. pork ribs (about 4) - cup of lettuce and olive oil
S2. Half cann of oil canned tuna
    D. Chicken thighs (3 pieces) - cup of lettuce and olive oil

Every day at least 2 lts water and 2 can mineral water (sparkling)

I've done Atkins before, and its my experience that, when I include cheese, or olives, mayo, and so on, I do not loose weight easily. So I am trying to keep it very clean...

    There's not enough vegetables.

You seem to be eating mostly meat ... Atkins isn't about the meat, it's about the vegetables.

      Re: Luciana

Yes, I was going to clarify that as well...
So, how would you see it if I made a salad of 1 cup spinach, 1/2 cup green bell pepper, 1/ cup red pepper, 1 cup mushrooms.... that would make the 3 cups of veggies for the day.
That mix I'd split it in two (halfs), and I'd eat one half at lunch and the other half at dinner....

      .... isn't atkins about fat?

        Oh, and another question....
Do you think I should reduce my protein intake?

          >>isn't atkins about fat?>>

It's a high fat way of eating. Most of your daily net carbs should be coming from acceptable vegetables ... for you, those are Induction vegetables.

          >> Do you think I should reduce my protein intake?>>

How much protein are you getting now?

          Your salad plan sounds good.

            Re: Luciana

Ok, I'll do that from tonight on... (the salad mix) wich I think are good for starters (spinach, lettuce, green and red pepper, and mushrooms).

My protein intake I think is high.... I think
2 eggs in the mornign and machaca or baco (machaca is like dry meat)
but for instance, today 300grs ... its like 8 ounces...a whole beef steak, wich was pretty big... :-S
chicken I usually eat 4 pieces....
so.... may be I can reduce my intake at lunch and dinner, like 2 or 3 pieces of chicken and 3-4 ounces of meat max?

              Re: Luciana

Eat your veggies first, so that you get them in Then eat as much meat as you need to not feel hungry anymore (not full or stuffed, just no longer hungry). Your body will tell you how much food it needs - some days it will need more than others.

You can't really "think" ... the best way is to "know" ... you can try entering what you're eating at FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal.

Protein should only be 20-25% of your daily calories.

And as JulieB said, if you eat the vegetables first, the meat won't be the focus of your eating.

OK so for tomorrow would be
                      2 eggs and machaca (1oz)
                      s1. 1 ounce pork rinds
lunch. 2 chicken thighs, mix of salad and olive oil
                      s2. can of sardines
Dinner. 2 pork chops ad mix of salad (olive oil)

                      My fit day?
                      Cals. 1200

                      Prot: 33%
                      Carbs: 3%
I can increase my carbs when I include spinach, but for now I only have lettuce, so my salad mix is made of 1 cup lettuce, half cup red pepper, half cup green pepper, and 1 cup mushrooms...

2 lts water and 2 cans of sparkling water
                      50 minutes cardio

                      How does it sound?

                        Your machaca is sugar free?

I don't know how tall you are but 1200 calories is not a lot. It may be better to have a little but more at breakfast - especially if you havethe appetite. Otherwise it is pretty good. Nice and clean - I do not see much for sugary items which is good.

                          Liv,

Machaca is 100% sugar free... its only dryed meat 0% carbs! and tastes very good with eggs!

                          My height is 5'3 and I weight around 138 - 140 pounds
I want to drop from 15 to 20 pounds.

Thanks for your advice, if you had any other observations, I would be vary grateful to have it.

Do you suggest I post my daily menus in a forum? if so, which one is the one to do it.

                          Best regards

We have two forums for such purpose. The stats forum where only you will post and the journal forum where people may drop in and interact with you in your journal. Those are fun places.

No I think it is looking pretty good. I would not go hungry - so eat more if that happens and otherwise enjoy things.
