  • not enough fat?

    Hey,

Can someone please look at my fitday. I'm worried I'm not getting enough fat and maybe too much protein? I seriously CAN NOT eat anymore, I'm so full. I don't think I'm eating enough but I'm really not hungry.

Any suggestions to get my appetite back? I went to the gym and did 35 mins of cardio and thought maybe I'd be hungry after. I wasn't! I ate anyways because it had been 6 hours since I'd eaten anything.

You're not getting enough carbs. 11 net carbs isn't enough.

Your protein % is a bit high.

I think if you were to add more carbs, that ratio would come down.

However ... at this point in your journey, I wouldn't stress too much about the protein.

However, undereating in your net carbs will likely backfire on you. Plus, it's not nutritionally sound.

what else can I eat that's high in carbs? I could try and grate some cheese onto what I'm eating but that's not going to add very many. Any other ideas? I haven't lose weight in several days now.

I would suggest more higher carb Induction vegetables.

Cheese isn't going to give you the carbs you need.

You should also try to get about 10-12 times your current body weight in calories. Right now your calories are low ... undereating both in net carbs and in calories won't help you lose weight.

How much water are you drinking?

I've been eating green peppers, I think red peppers have more I'll eat some of those tomorrow. I'm drinking 64oz *sometimes a little more* of water. I just don't know how I'm going to eat anymore, especially without raising my protein because I can only have 3 cups of vegetables. What has more carbs in it that I can add. Salad dressing? but EVERY salad dressing I can find has sugar in it so I've stayed away.

Well, you should be drinking about 1/2 your current body weight in ounces.

              >>What has more carbs in it that I can add.>>

Look at the higher carb vegetables from the Induction food list.

That's where you need to increase your carbs.

Look here to get some ideas with the vegetables:

The first 10lbs came off in less then a week, but it's just stopped. ANYTHING that will help I'm willing to do. The more water I drink, the less hungry I feel, I'll try and eat more. Thanks for all your help!

I suppose increasing my vegetable intake beyond 3 cups wouldn't be a good idea. I took a look at the list and the carb count and they're all so low. Maybe I should try adding some sour cream, some more cheese? What about salad dressing?

                        Hey, Welcome---

                        Try this out!

                        Jicama
I peel it, then slice it first into large thin flat pieces, and then lay the slices on a paper towel for a minute or two to remove the excess moisture so they will fry up ok. Then I slice them into thin strips and fry them in some butter and peanut oil, and when they are almost "burned", I turn off the heat, blot some of the oil off, and then sprinkle some cinnamon on them and give them a toss. Oh so Yummy! I soak up the extra moisture otherwise it seems they never get fried up enough.

                            Re: not enough fat?

Your protein intake in grams is fine, but you could add a bit more fat to your yesterday's menu. A tablespoon of oil is all you need to do the trick.

To increase your net carbs from vegetables, you can mix your veggies and add some that are higher in carbs.

For example, instead of eating a cup of green peppers, you could have a 1/3 cup of green peppers, 2/3 cup yellow peppers. And if you chop the peppers in tiny tiny pieces instead of slicing them or chopping them in larger pieces, then you can fit more peppers into a cup.

Using a cup of whole mushrooms instead of one of loosely packed sliced mushrooms will also mean more net carbs.

For the chicken you can make a garlic sauce.

You can add some garlic to the broccoli, too.

Pumpkin, spaghetti squash, green beans and tomatoes are just some of the vegetables that have a higher carb count than broccoli.

1/2 an avocado would be a good choice too, as avocados are very nutritious and don't count as vegetables (they are fruits).

I can not find jicama anywhere. Guess we don't have it around here. I want to try it, everyone says it's so good. Sounds interesting.
