    Re: not enough fat?

It's a form of turnip apparently. I live in Canada, I probably won't be able to find it. Apparently it's from Mexico. I'm going to look for some tonight or tomorrow.

        Re: not enough fat?

ask your produce manager for it and maybe they will order some for you. the ones in my market were rotting before they arrived but now the supplier uses food grade wax to protect them and we get ripe healthy ones every time.

Since you are not hungry you don't need to eat any more food right now just adjust what you are consuming. 20 isn't the target it is the max and just swapping a higher carb veggie for a lower carb one isn't really going to do anything for your health nor weight loss unless the higher carb veggie contains a vit or mineral your lower carb veggie doesn't so be very picky about what you swap out within your 3 cups. those green leafy veggies have many of our needed vits and minerals in them.

Your weight slow down is very nornal after that initial large loss. We atkinseers call it PISS and it is just a hesitation in scale numbers not a stall. if you made friends with your tape measure you will see on day 15 that you are still shedding body fat even if the scale numbers do not validate your hard work

          Re: not enough fat?

          Hey Liv,

I went to Loblaws/Superstore tonight and looked for it and they didn't have any I bought a turnip instead.

          2big4mysize,
thanks for all your wonderful advise I think I did A LOT better today! I'm cooking up a few sausage now and going to eat a few more vegetables, but I'm going to hit 20g today for sure. I had some sweet red peppers today as opposed to green and they're higher in carbs.

The superstore gets some in quite regularly where I am. I also can by some at Safeway once in awhile.

              Re: not enough fat?

I'm going to check a different superstore as well as Metro, and Sobey's. I don't think we have Safeway here in ontario.

Sometimes they are out of them - ask someone about it (although the people who works in the store are nincompoops for the most part)
What are you going to do with the turnip? I love those too.

Lol ya I find that about the grocery store too!
I'm probably going to mash some of the turnip, I love mashed turnip with butter.
I'm going to try and fry some of it and see what it tastes like. Maybe turnip french fries?

                    Re: not enough fat?

I like turnip french fries. They are a bit mushy but lovely with low carb ketchup (which I am obsessed about) So I make potato french fries for the rest of the guys and turnip for me and we are all happy.
