  • Please Review 5 Day Menu

I was on Atkins a few months ago, but a separation and moving into my boyfriends and problems caused me a lot of stress. I am now back with husband and we are working on things. We have both started Atkins. How does this look so far?

Re: Please Review 5 Day Menu

Which one is day 5 in your FitDay? Today? Or did you restart on Feb 21st?

In any case, you are undereating vegetables. For example, you have a day with 3 only cups of lettuce. You won't get proper nutrition from that... and more than half of your daily net carbs should come from vegetables.

Also, in general, the closer you are to 20 net carbs, with over half from vegetables, the more nutritious your menu will be.

Almonds are not allowed on Induction.

Did you check the ingredients in Slim Jim? I bet there's sugar and a lot of other junk there.

It's better to enter eggs raw in FitDay, instead of entering them cooked, because FitDay assumes you are adding things like margarine or milk in cooking. So use the entry for "eggs, whole, raw" instead.

Meatless bacon bits have non-Induction ingredients.

Did you check the ingredients in the soy sauce?

I'm assuming there are veggies in your future?

        Looking at yesterday:

How did you eat 6 tenths of a can of tuna?

3 cups of lettuce isn't enough net carbs from vegetables. You need to have more of a variety.

Remember MOST of your daily net carbs should be coming from Induction vegetables.

Neither slim jims or pepperoni are good choices. Both are very very very processed, filled with sodium, and have sugar.

10 total carbs isn't enough ... to be nutritionally sound, you should be closer to 20 NET. You had 7 net.

        Looking at today:

Enter your eggs in the "raw" state, like you did for 2/26.

Also, try to have some vegetables with every meal.

        Looking to 2/25

Almonds are NOT allowed on Induction.

Your calories and net carbs are too low.

        Not enough vegetables.
