  • Review my menu please

    hello can you all look at this diet for me,, my day consist of this for the past 7 weeks now,, also can you stay of the first 14 day stage all the way?

    breakfast
    2-3 scrambles eggs/1 oz cheese
    1 tbl spoon reg mustard
    2-3 slices of bacon
    about 16 oz cold water

    lunch
    3/4 lb of ground beef hamburger home cooked freash
    3 slices bacon
    2 slices swiss or pepperjack cheese
    1 tbl spoon manyase
    16 oz Cold Decaf tea no sweetners

    supper

    6 oz chicken breast
    2 slices of bacon
    16 oz cold decaf tea no sweenter

    snack

    14 - 16 slices of peperoni
    sometimes about a 1/2 cup sf jello

    Yes, you "can".

    However, that's not how the Atkins plan is written.

    A lot of people who stay on Induction all the way to goal end up failing ... because they've never learned what they need to keep the weight off.

    You have no vegetables listed ... you're not really doing Atkins, you know.

    And 16 ounces of water isn't enough.

    I urge you to check out these topics:





    to find out what Atkins is about.

    And get a copy of the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002).

    What you've been doing for the last 7 weeks isn't healthy.

      so if i add about 1 cup of green beans a day and count more regular water not counting the def tea this would help me? everything else looks ok? also i found 0 carb dill pickles,, would these be allowed,, they have no sugars at all?

        You need more than 1 cup of green beans. Are you reading the book yet?

        Dill pickles, since they're made from cucumbers, which have carbs, are not 0 carbs.

          You need three cups of veggies. At least of 64oz of water
          Take some mulitvitamin and exercise.

            i just get so lost in all of this ,,, and yes i have read the book and check it too much each day,, i have been doing this for 7 weeks now ,, i have lost 51 lbs so far but each day i find more that i should not be eating,, just can't grasp it,, thats why i keep asking you guys cause this seems like a place where people know what they are talking about

              Do you have the 2002 book? If I recall correctly, you had an older book.

              And you shouldn't still be on Induction.

              And you need to eat more vegetables than you're eating.

                51 lbs are great. Do you have a lot more to lose?
                I would not sweat things. It is about being healthy. There are lot of things we are cutting and not eating and then there are some things we add in and eat.
                Keep working on turning your menu into healthy and sustainable.

                    yes i have much more to take off,, i have atleast another 85 lbs,,, my biggest problem is i hate vegg.. i did eat 2 cups of green beans yesterday and a few dills.. i have also ate 1 1/2 cups of green beans today with 3 small dill pickles,, and have had over 64 oz of just plain water,, i have not drunk any of my def tea today..

                      It's almost impossible to do Atkins without eating lots of vegetables.

                      If you're not willing to expand your horizons, then you're going to have a very very difficult time of it.

                      Aside from not eating a healthy diet.

                      Have you checked out various recipe sites to get some ideas on how to masquerade vegetables? You don't have to eat them by themselves.

                        Keep working on it. Maybe you are not used to eating them. Maybe you need to find the right ones or the right way to cook them.
