  • Day 1 induction menu!

    I am soooo excited to start Atkins tomorrow! Please review my menu!!!


    Brekki: Cheese Omelette 3 eggs
    Lunch: Tuna Salad, lettuce, tin tuna in oil, cucumber and dressing (which dressing??)
    Dinner: Chicken soup, made from 2 half eaten chickens, stock pot and celery
    SNACK- 20 Olives, cheese sticks

    What do you think?

    Since you don't list quantities, it is hard to tell for sure, but I think you are short on veggies - 3 cups/day for induction. Lettuce is OK, but it isn't the best choice - it has very little nutrition, and very few carbs. Yes, very few carbs...and that is a bad thing because: you need to get at least half of your daily carbs from veggies.

    Also note: Olives are restricted to 20 SMALL ones

      Dressing can be mayo in the tuna, or ranch even. Just read the label. Your menu looks pretty good.

        About the olives ... DANDR doesn't specify size, it just says "each day you can also eat ten to twenty olives,"

        It's in the Special Category foods section.
