  • Can someone review my fitday please?

I am new to this and just put yesterdays meals into fitday.

I have the new book but realized yesterday that I probably should be doing the 2002 book based on these boards but anyways here is my menu from yesterday can you please let me know if I am headed in the right direction.

I am going to try and find the new book today.

    Thanks so much!!

I'm confused about which version you are following... but since you have the 2010 book, I'll assume you are following the Induction guidelines there.

    So...

You are undereating vegetables. You should be consuming 12-15 net carbs from vegetables alone.

Cream is limited to 2-3 tbsp per day.

Your calories are also very low. Is that a typical day? If it is, you could be slowing down your metabolism.

What did you have for dinner?

Yes, I have been doing the 2010 version just started Monday but plan to start over/switch when I get the 2002 version book.

I normally have a salad with turkey/cheese/oil/vinegar for lunch but was out and about so only had egg and celery/cream cheese for lunch yesterday.

How can I get my calories higher? I thought my fat was too high was it not?

Food wise would this menu be acceptable for the 2002 version?

        I missed something...

It's more accurate to enter vegetables and eggs raw in FitDay, and enter separately the ingredients you use in cooking.

No, your fat was not too high... but to increase your calories, you would be eating more food in general... more fat, more protein, more vegetables.

All the foods you have eaten are on the Acceptable Foods List in DANDR 2002.

Thanks for your help. Wow...I thought I ate a ton for dinner last night!! Guess I can eat more!!

I am so afraid of gaining even more weight. I am going to Oahu in May and would like to lose 20 pounds before then but know that would be a stretch. I still can't imagine doing that eating all of this food.

Re: Can someone review my fitday please?

Abba, can you add some info to your details to help us help you?

Click on the 'User CP' link at the top of the page then select the option called 'Edit your Details' Then scroll down to the weight section (you will see SW/CW/GW and a box where you can fill in your start/curent and goal weight numbers).
There are some other boxes there you can add any other info you want too.
            Then save the changes.

This will display the info at the top of your post each time so we can see how you are progressing and amend our advice accordingly.

Also you can add other info like your gender and height (it is handy to know without asking if you are a 6'6" 22 yr old male or a 5'3" 60 yr old female sometimes) into your signature block as well as any photos or anything else you want to appear under your posts automatically. To do thie select the 'Edit your Signature' option from your User control panel (User CP).

You can preview what you have added to make sure it all looks how you like it then save it.

Photos have to be somewhere on the www so you can paste the url of them, but you can upload some to use direct from your computer if you set up an album (again from your User CP) and follow the instructions then once saved you can click on the photo and get a BBCode to paste into your post or signature.

Any problems doing any of this we have a special techie/testing forum for advice!

Re: Can someone review my fitday please?

BTW are you exercising as well? Adding some weights work can start to 'resculpt' your body even if the pounds don't drop.

Many Atkineers report fitting into smaller clothes that they could do pre-Atkins at the same weight after adding lifting to their exercise regime. And no-one knows your actual weight (unless you get a T-shirt printed with it on) but they will surely see your body shape morphing!!

Re: Can someone review my fitday please?

It looked pretty good to me for 2002 where we want 3 cups of veggies and otherwise eat till we are satisfied and have nice servings of fat. So keep that fat up there.
Yes it would be helpful if you had your stats up
