I'm unable to access your Fitday. You need to go in to your settings and make it public for us to see it.

        Re: Can this be right?

        So it is looking good
If you look at the pie chart or the summary on the bottom you will see your percentages.
So per that menu your calories came from 71 fat, 21 protein and 8 carbs.
I think that is pretty good.

You are a bit over on carbs. Your netcarbs are 35-12 so 23. You are a bit over on veggies if you follow DANDR.
And I would not eat turkey that had 3.6 carbs per oz. That is just way too much. So you will have to try to find something without sugars or fillers for that.

Your dressing will have some carbs even if the label is zero. I would cont 0.4 per serving just to be on the safe side.

I would probably eat a little bit more protein for supper.

But these are tiny things. It is looking a lot like Atkins.

OOps - hit send too soon. Today I will put in fitday what I "plan" on eating and see the amount before actually eating it. Yesterday I did the opposite.

Wow..I had no idea green beans had so many carbs 10.7 per cup!!! I knew they were high but not that high.

Am I correct in trying to aim for carb grams of around 20? Also, I had 130 gm of fat!!!! Isn't that too much?? What should I aim to have my protein amount to? Calorie amount?

Thanks so much for all of your help. I can read the book but on-line help is so much easier to understand!!

              Re: Can this be right?

When you look at green beans - deduct the fiber. so it has almost 5 fibre grams which is great you need fiber. Eat your veggies. They are great. And remember if you measure it raw that will be different from measuring it cooked.

You are aiming for net carb of 20. So that is the carbs that fitday will list minus the fiber.

The percentages often quoted are 65 fat 30 protein and 5 carb. But there is no need to be right on these numbers they are just ball park.
130 grams of fat looks right to me. Fat is the key on Atkins. Some days it may be a bit lower, some days a bit higher just don't worry about it unless it gets too low.

                I agree, looking pretty good!
You may need to keep an eye on the bacon (my weakness!!) and the prepackaged lunch meat for fillers and sodium, which can cause an issue. But other than that you are on the right track for sure. Good idea to figure out your foods ahead of time too, that way you are not stuck after eating lunch with no carbs left for dinner!
(not that I have ever had that happen or anything!! ;-)
