  • What would a perfect day on Induction be??

    Trying to get ideas...

I am still trying to figure out calories/fat/carb ratios.

If you could plan our the perfect DAY of menus what would that be?

    Thanks!

There's no such thing as a perfect day, imo. Certain foods work better for me, but they are likely not to work so good for you... so my "perfect day" would not be a perfect day for you.

A good Induction day, imo, is one on which you eat only foods from the Acceptable Foods List... eat close to 20 net carbs, with over half of them from Induction vegetables... drink plenty of water... eat enough fat... and follow all the Rules of Induction.

      What are you eating now?

My last induction was about getting very basic, cutting out artificial stuff and keep a very clean menu
Here is an example of one of my induction days
Day 9 of induction is commencing
Yes I think I am down maybe 2 more lbs. My scale is pretty wacky so I am waiting a few days to confirm. I think if that is true I am almost at goal.

      Ran 6 K

      Breakfast
boiled egg with mayo and creamed roe
      slices of cucumber
      coffee
      tons of water

yoga (the yoga teacher was talking about how your estrogen cycle impact your energy. Interesting)

      Lunch
3 egg scramble with ham, bacon, red pepper, mushroom, broccoli, green onion, cheddar cheese, bacon fat

      Supper
      Beef - fillet mignon
      mushroom cream sauce
sautéed onion, broccoli, snap peas in olive oil

After supper walk - we're having a wonderful weather finally.
Was it perfect. It works for me. I like to kind of get basic on it but I do not do that more than fourteen days and then I start adding move veggies

a perfect day would be one where you spread out your carbs to all meals and have about the same amount of carbs at each. you eat high healthy fat foods with a moderate protein intake and only legal foods.

I love eggs and hot spice foods and was over 300 pounds when I started so I had big omlettes with a cup of veggie things like chopped up onions, tomatoes, and hot peppers with some cheese and bulk sausage. I had to use the bulk kind cause the others all have soy in them and I'm allergic. some days I used prepared salsa as the veggies. and one of my 4 ounces of cheese. and I was drinking ice water.

other days I had blackend fish with veggies, taco salad, chicken salad in lettuce cups. flax meal hotcakes with pumpkin butter. basically any legal food with any legal veggie and fat.

lunch was more of the same another cup of veggies with fat and protein something likwe pepperpot soup or gumbo with out flour, a lettuce wrapped sandwich, BBQ pork with spicey slaw, stuffed peppers, roasted veggies with chicken. cabbage soup Shoneys style but without the beans,
dinner was more of the same a health fat with some protein and another cup of veggies. creamed spinach stuffed pork, beef or chicken, a Boiled dinner cabbage onions, radishes ( when cooked they lose the hot taste and have a texture similar to firm potaotes)with a spicey beef, curry, collards with ham hocks, kilt greens with pork

I didn't do much snacking cause I wasn't hungry but if I did I had the rest of my cheese.

You can eat just about anything you want that can be made from the legal herbs and spices plus your veggies protein source and a healthy fat.

Rather than do that, do as Dr. Atkins writes ... count your carbs. If you do that, and follow the Rules of Induction, you'll be fine.

The thing to remember is, there is no "perfect" for everyone.

My perfect day would be having my personal chef preparing my scrumptious Atkins Induction meals and snacks.

OMG, I was going to post that my perfect day would be Gordon Ramsay cooking my Atkins meals. I think a lot of us wish there was someone there to just make it happen.
