    Hi y'all,

I have been on Atkins several times in the past. I finally read and reread the book and realized I was never really on Atkins-proper, but some unenlightened version I made up in my own head. Anyhow, I want to post menus for a bit and see what the experts have to say! TIA.

    Uh

just looking at your most recent day. The things that strikes on is your lack of veggie carbs and how many carbs are coming from other sources. the rule is that most of your daily carbs should come from veggies. But your veggies looks to be just around 6 maybe but your carbs from sausage is 4.
If the sausage has four carb it is very likely not legal on Atkins so you need to rethink that choice.

Did you get the Angus patty at McDonald's? If so, did you get it with the seasoning?

      Where's the vegetables?

        Re: 041710 Carrie

Well, I was going for the "1 cup regular veggies and 2 cups salad veggies" idea. I see now that there really weren't enough veggies. I LOVE veggies, especially when I can put a little butter or olive oil on them. I'm afraid that in the past, I went WAY overboard with them and maybe that's one reason I didn't do very well. I'll pay more attention to it. THANKS.
        Peace,
        Carrie

Breakfast was not well thought out, I admit. I was going to make a couple eggs, but time got away from me and I had a meeting to get to by 8am so I drove through and pulled the sausages out of a couple McD biscuits.

I really appreciate y'all looking at this.
          Peace,

            You're welcome.
Yes planning is a bit part of our success here. Especially in the beginning as we are getting used to different stuff. Time for you do go to the store and stock up on some whole foods. Hope you have a great day.
