    Re: My induction menu

Welcome to review my menu. I saw your post in the Spotlight forum earlier.

I thogh your menu was pretty good but you're eating too little food it looks like. That breakfast and dinner is just about the size of my mid morning snack put together.
How did you know it was 62 gram of cockles you weighted them?
Eating too little is not helping on Atkins we need to make sure we are fed.

Also I would eat more veggies. . At least three cups of them.

    What are you drinking

And I have no idea what gaseoso is?

What are the ingredients in the sausage?

      What's "gaseoso"?

        Re: My induction menu

        Hi liv and atkinsga

        Yes I weighed the cockles.

Gaseosa is something like carbonated water with sweetener (cyclamate and saccharin)

Liv I had 1 cup of cucumbers for breakfast, 1/2 an avocado for lunch (I thought I could not have more that half) and 1 c. of lettuce for dinner.

I drank just about 2 l of water during the day.

The problem is that I have never been a big eater.

The ingredients of the sausage are: pork meat 91%, water, salt, spices, natural gut, and smoke, may have traces of celery.

        Thanks for revising my menu.

          Re: My induction menu

There's a limit of 3 servings of sweetener per day.

Avocado doesn't count towards your vegetables, it's a special category food, so it's in addition to your vegetables.

How much plain water did you have?

            Hi Toto

As Liv said, it doesn't look like much food to me, but if you are eating when hungry and till no longer hungry your body will probably demand more food another day.

One thing I thought I'd mention about your snacks - pork rinds/cracklings haven't really got much in the way of nutrients in them, so maybe you might find it worth using one of the websites for logging your food intake (I use www.fitday.con) to see if you need to add any supplements.

As you were short one whole cup of veggies you could use some for your snacks as well - with maybe a fullfat dip?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

              Re: My induction menu

Oooooops I didn't know that the avocado didn't count, therefore I didn't do it properly today either because I had the half for breakfast.
I'll have some lettuce this afternoon to try to compensate what I didn't take this morning.
As for water, yesterday I had just about 2 l today, as of now I've take 1,5 l and no .

Thanks a lot for your help.

                Re: My induction menu

There's nothing wrong with having avocado at breakfast. The point was that avocado isn't a vegetable carb. You didn't do anything improper.

The advice to have vegetables at all your meals is because so many people find they can't get in all their vegetables if they don't.

Wheat bran is allowed for fiber supplement. Most often a tablespoon is mentioned.
