I am approaching two months on Atkins. I started at 250 pounds, ended induction at 235 and I've been weighing in at 234-230 for six weeks. Inches are tough to gauge as I've measured myself all over the map. I seem to gain and lose a few inches around my waist and hips the same way I am losing and gaining the same 4 pounds. I don't know if I am in a stall or if I am a slow loser.
Yesterday's menu:
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with 1 oz. heavy whipping cream, 3 slices of bacon, 1 cup jicama
Lunch: 2 ounces of sliced cheddar cheese, 1/2 a cucumber, 1/2 large tomato, 1 oz. dry roasted peanuts, 1 roasted chicken leg quarter
Dinner: 2 hamburger patties and 2 cups of steamed green beans with butter
This is a pretty typical day for me. Some mornings I have 3 eggs with a little cheese sprinkled on, no meat, or 2 eggs with sliced veggies. Some days for lunch I'll take a flax MIM and top it with natural peanut butter or cream cheese with sliced veggies. I try to eat jicama or flax each day to ensure I am getting a minimal amount of fiber.
I think I am doing OK for water, I drink 80 ounces on a bad day, between 100-120 most others. I've been consuming 1400-2000 calories per day. I am 5 ft. 2. and 35 years old.
I walk 3-4 days per week, several miles at a time and doing a few strength training exercises.
I take a multi-vitamin without iron and a vitamin B supplement.
I am not a peanut butter fan, and so far I've not had anything that has given me intense food cravings or headache or any of the other symptoms. I also have a glass or two of wine each week.
I am not trying to be a slave to the scale, and I am not losing motivation as I feel so great - I just want to know if anything obvious sticks out to you all.
Thanks!
