  • starting again....

I started two years ago at 180, had a great time working my way down to a fit 143 during 2004, and slipped back to a flabby 155-160 this past spring (the most recent photo). While moving around the swimsuit top rode up so I went ahead and took the honest photo of it. The inches speak louder than pounds.

I'm now about 147-150. I'll post a new photo soon and keep this updated.

On the bright side, I'm 30 pounds lighter than two years ago, I know what works and what I need to do, and I know where to come to get support in doing this! Taking photos has always been one of my mantras for getting started or back on track, but I've been ignoring the fact that the photos need to be POSTED somewhere that will be seen. Not necessarily by everyone, but at least by yourself.

      Thanks, Elsie!

I've always known it needs to be a WOL, and I really do prefer it. Decades of ingrained lifestyle habits aren't overcome overnight.

Not the way I'd prefer to do it, but whatever gets me there. I keep learning (and re-learning? ) what I need to make the good changes permanant. One thing I need to do to keep me in check are the progress photos.

I HATED posting these photos. Thank you for posting yours, Erik. I needed this!

On the bright side, I just took a new photo. A bad hair cut, but lookie here.......... I have been making progress this summer! I don't know why it's such a surprise to me, but it really is.

I'm doing better than I thought. There's still a lot of tummy bulge, but the fat is obviously shrinking off again. That really is the same top! Now to really get serious about this again.

hi Linda, great job relosing those pounds the change in the last pic is very appearent. it takes a lot of courage to admit to ourselves we are not the Atkins losers we once were and need to not know it will work again but take the steps to start making it work again.

                  Happy low carbing.

                            Thanks for all the support!!

Funny how I need to "learn" how to be thin while I slide so easily into the fat role (which includes lack of sleep, not taking time for me, not caring enough about myself, etc.). I'm seriously working on that.

<groan!> ohhhhh Brooooook. Got another lyric to replace that one?
