    Hey, ok I'm finally going to get my goal accomplished! All my life I was a chunky kid, and promised myself I'd be in good health by the time I'm 18. At age 17 i top'd the scale at 245lb and decided its now or never. From May 04-May05 i went from 245lb - 165lb! i was considered "healthy weight" for once in my life!! Then i went off to college and u know how that goes.. you become POOr and live off of Roman noodles.. bad bad stuff.. now i'm in my second semester of college and I had my fun with all my bad food, but now I'm ready to finish my goal and STAY healthy.. I'd love all the support I can get, because it gets tuff with a workload of school and deadlines to reach! By the way, any one have good ideas on what to eat as snacks??

    Height: 5'9
    Highest Weight @ 16 1/2yrs: 250 lb
    Lowest Weight: 160 lb
    Starting Atkins: 8-09-06 @ 185.8
    Goals: ~135 lb
    Live life to the fullest and get in the best shape possible

        My goal weight is about 135lb.. i think its about below 130lb that will consider me underweight.. so i aiming for 135lb.. but if i feel im in complete great shape at 140lb, then i'll still be happy... im not too interested in numbers.. but just in the feeling of healthiness

            Wow Tina!!! You've already done a great job! What a change... you'd really never even know that you're the same person by looking at the before/during picture. You should really be proud of yourself already.

            All I can add is that you're making a great decision to take control of your body at such a young age. You'll never regret it!

            Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

              Wow, you have already made such a wonderful transformation! Good for you that you are getting back on the wagon before you gain anymore!

                You're such a cutie! Like Chrleeann said earlier - You do look tiny already! Good luck with reaching your goals, I'm sure you'll get there before you know it!

                Officially Re-Focusing on 12-28-09.

                Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
                Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

                so:
                Restart Progress:
                12/28/09 ~ 235.1
                01/04/10 ~ 229.0
                01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
                (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
                01/18/10 ~ 227.4
                01/5/10 ~ 226.8
                02/01/10 ~ 222.6

                  You look so great! CONGRATULATIONS!
                  It is so funny to look at you and think about the way I look at myself because I am also 5'9, started Atkins at 180 pounds and am now at 150 with a goal weight of 140. People tell me all the time "you look so tiny" and I just don't see it! But you really do. Thanks for posting the pics. I am going to have to get some help on how to do it myself.

                      Wow, thanks for all your comments! I really appreciate them. I just bought the adkins new revolution book and it should be in within a week.. I had tried adkins previously and it worked for awhile but i dont know if maybe i wasn't eating enough or what but i would get light headed a bit.. does that happen to ne one?? I'm trying to start again but am wondering if maybe some of you have good tips for snacks? thanks, id really appreciate it

                        I did get light headed in the beginning when my body was switching from a carb fuel sysem to a fat burning system. Now if I get light headed it is because I went too long between meals. Just be sure to eat, take your vitamins, and drink your water. If you continue to be light headed I would up your carb intake. Sometimes we get light headed if we are losing too fast.

                          You look great! I so understand the college way of life
                          The noodles are fast and cheap- but take their toll.

                          Try crunchy snacks, cheese.
                          Peanuts(if you are allowing those)

                          You look like a different person. Good for you. Keep it up.
