Wow--I wish I had the guts to not only take a picture, but post it. I didn't even want to take a picture for my work id--but like a co-worker said...it'll be a great feeling later when I can say this was what I used to look like and look at how far I've come.

              misslili , welcome!
i am only on day 5 of the program but already starting to not crave the carbs. (still trying to cut down on the coffee-) this group of people are very supportive, I actually logged on about 10 times the first three days to get through. Posting your original starting pics makes you more corageous than myself. i have also taken pics. will develop and post also.
Keep hanging in there. Soon you will look like the person you are on the inside.

                Re: Looking at my reality...

I don't feel that I was very courageous by posting my photo's. Why? Because I did not have the nerve to actually show my face in my photo's. I'm thinking that once I loose some of these horrible rolls and my huge stomach I will show my face. I hope that happens for too much time has passed. I've given myself a year to get it together so, that I can surprise my husband when he returns from Iraq . I'm going to keep at it.

                  Re: Looking at my reality...

You inspired me to go take beginning pictures but I wasn't as brave as you were, I still 'hid' in clothes. We started the same week, and I don't know about you, but I'm feeling so much better that it is amazing! In fact, I've felt so good for the past three days that I realize that my focus on the weight loss is secondary, I just can't believe how great I feel compared to how I felt before! I hope you're feeling great too!!

                            Stay strong...

I've yoyo'd in and out of atkins due to my own personal issues in life. (stopped caring about my health) But today for some reason is just the day that helped me CLICK that it's time to stop playing around and wasting time being unhappy, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Thank you for being strong, and taking the intiative to step out of the box and do something that was challenging to you. I've NEVER took "before" pictures of myself to see how I look and today I did it after being inspired by your post. It's on now, and it only gets better and better with time. After looking at my "before" pictures, I know for a fact that it's going to get better. I can't WAIT TO WEAR a bathing suit next year!!! You can do it, and you'll accomplish anything as long as you stay firm to your guns/goals. Keep up the great work!
