I have finally worked up the nerve to post pictures of myself! I've tried so many other diets in the past, and I'm praying that Atkins will work as the lifestyle change that I truly need. I have been reading the book at the local library and waiting for my copy to come.

Hey TW - seems like you just started Atkins too! I went out and bought myself a scale which I wasn't too eager to do since I was afraid of the number but I did.
I say we are both going in the right direction because we are HERE!
Best of luck to you - and now you have inspired me to get my own BEFORE and hopefully, we can later compare of AFTER pictures!

Just started myself on April 2nd.Lost 10lbs so far.... I dont know if I can post my pics. I am so self conscious.Im hoping that all ths will pay off in the end. I did the same thing and tried all kinds of other diets. None had worked for me, they arent strict enough to start and it seems like if had something like fruit or bread, it would just cause me to want to eat more and more. You'll lose it pretty quick, and like they said take pictures every 1-2 months
It'll shock ya.

You will be amazed at how your body transforms with this diet!!!
I love this way of eating!!! Its the only diet I can stick to!! its soo easy once you know what you can and cant have! Plus its such a healthy diet too!!
Why not get signed up to an exercise challenge?? they are soo much fun!

Welcome to the site, I too was like WTH? when I read your title and when I opend it I saw a lovely young brave women trying to change her lifestyle and find a better way of eating.
I cant wait to watch you change over the weeks to come and like what the others have said your story will inspire others as it has inspired me to keep going too. Im sort of at the point where I feel like giving up. But I think I will keep going now.. Thanks and welcome
