  • This is soooooo Embarrassing!

I am posting some before and after pics but feel I need a disclaimer saying over half of my weight was lost prior to Atkins. However, Atkins has/is helping me with my last stubborn 30 pounds. So here they are...lol...I am so embarrassed!

    At my heaviest...December 2005 - 195 pounds

    Before Atkins - August 2006 - 150 pounds

    During Atkins - March 2007 - 135 pounds

Kristy Started Atkins for the 3rd time on 09/01/07

I am allergic to Carbs - I break out in Fat!

    Female 30 5'3 - was 190...now 135...goal 120 (maybe 115)...My last 15 pounds LOVES me!

Mini Goals - stop weighing every day and restart my slim in 6 workout

To heck with being embarrassed, you start being d@mn proud of yourself! You're stunning now! Frankly, you don't look like you need to lose any more! You're a knock out!

I Love You! Seriously thanks for the compliments! I am rather proud of my weight loss. A lot of people (and I mean a lot!) tell me I don’t need to loose anymore. I get that quite a bit from coworkers but that is only because I come to work in figure flattering clothes and not a bikini. Trust me…they would know instantly that I still need to drop a few more pounds. I am only 5’3...I lost weight in my upper body more than my lower…I still have some weight to loose in my midsection and thighs that I don’t think crunches and thighmasters alone would help. Some people say I should just be happy with what I have lost and continue to try and tone up but I figure I have made it this far so why not go ahead and reach my goal. My goal also happens to be what most books say is my best weight for my height...actually most say 110 – 115. The way I look at it, it will just get harder to loose as I get older so why not give it my all (occasionally less than my all ) and do it. I just want to wear a bathing suit again without a big t-**** cover-up. Heck…I may even get brave enough to post swimsuit pics on here soon…I don’t have any yet. A swimsuit is one of my rewards when I get within 5 pounds of my goal.

                    Re: This is soooooo Embarrassing!

Well, I can sure understand you wanting to get that last 10 pounds off. It isn't that much consdering where you were. Just keep in mind, toning up your muscles will probably do the trick but nicer muscle means a little more weight. So maybe a trade-off is a possibility? Nicer muscle means better health so the scale could really be a demon then. Then again, who's to say? You may wind up having both. anyway.

I'm 5'3" also and would be tickled with 130. But then, I'm 50 so that may be as much of a challenge for me as 120 is a strong desire for you.

                    Anyway, you really transformed beautifully.

Sure makes me glad I'm on Atkins. All these pictures of everyone looking flat out HEALTHY instead of washed out and sickly are so encouraging!

No kidding! You hear things like "you look like a totally different person" a lot on the before and after shots but this time I was seriously squinting really hard at the photos trying to figure out if Dixie was trying to pull a joke on us. Really could be two different people.

An amazing transformation Dixie, and I sincerely hope that you are proud of what you have accomplished.
