      Ketone, if I didn't have ketosticks, I would go crazy...srzly.

      healthandharmony, once the scale was hidden, I actually don't even think about it. I used to see it every time I went to the bathroom (which is a lot when drinking 3 liters of water a day) but now I don't have to see it adn it is out of sight, out of mind. I have my ketosticks though so I am happy. I see that purple and feel soothed.

        hey....just FYI

        if you wanna get in those jeans, you will. i am wearing pants from my closet now that quite honestly, i never throught i'd fit into again. and my belt has gone from tightening at the first notch and now it goes all the way to the last notch......i may just need to get a new belt soon and whats funny now, if you can relate to this......sometimes i will start looking for my keys and all the while they have been in my pants pocket......i cant even feel them in there. so say goodbye to your body at this moment, because if you dedicate yourself and do the right things........you will drop the weight and get your a$$ into size 7s again before you know it oh and, i am assuming that you have joined the squat challenge?!

          I have not joined the squat challenge an, in all honesty, that word terrifies me. I am swimming 1,100 yards about every other day and walking on the tread mill. I am also doing extended induction and eating very cleanly. I was thinking to add some more time on the treadmill. Also, one thing I did is raise the incline on the treadmill. It was funny, my daughter went to go run on it and she leg go of the rail after starting it and started her normal pace but then noticed she was going backwards or down hill. She was like "WOAH! INCLINE MUCH?"

              Lol, that is one of the reasons I chose it. I roleplay (yes, I am a geek) and she is the avatar for one of my characters.

              I was laying down last night and I ran my hand over my upper roll (the one that is above waist) and it felt way smaller. I could even feel the edge of my ribs better and it isn't even February yet! OMG! Could I be in these comfortably at the end of February??

              I swam my 1100 yards yesterday but man it was hard. I got really weak feeling around 600 yards but I pushed through.

                  I will look forward to hearing how you get on. I have decided only to weigh myself. once a week. I confess I am on the scales most days, well every day.lol
                  So once a week for the moment, though I hope I can improve on that.

                    Did you see that link on the board about that guy who started Atkins and he weighed every single day for like 30 days. He lost weight overall but there were several days that the scale either didn't move or he GAINED weight. If I were to step on the scale and see a weight gain I would -- Well, okay that did happened to me and I cried for an hour. That is when I had my husband hide my scale.

                      I keep going back to that thread, Porcelain. It is the one that says "Weight loss isn't linear" and has the chart? It is so good when I'm feeling a bit discouraged about a little gain. Also the article in the FAQ section "Why the scale sometimes lies". The scale can be so evil! The first time I did atkins I never ever weighed myself all through it and then I got to a size I liked and stepped on the scale. What I saw was a much higher number than I thought it should be even though I liked how I looked. I was SOOOO upset by the number! This time around I am being realistic about how much I should weigh and keeping track of my loss without obsessing over the scale. I think that's better!

                        yes that's the link, Pan. I also started noting my weight, exercise and food on Fitday.com. I am excited about it!! I can't wait to put in my weight to see a chart. I am happy to see how many calories I burn too with the swimming. It also shows you how much energy you burn just living. I wish they had a section for measurements.

                            I can't wait Jupiter! I want to try them on so bad right now but it is my TOM and I need to wait at least a week! I am fit to be tied! I can tell I am losing some of my upper belly (above my waist) but not so sure about the lower belly! I am hoping!

                              This is good advice. I weight myself daily, but set weekly benchmarks so I don't worry so much about any particular day.
