I will admit, I had no idea what to expect when I first started this WOE. I made it a point to visit the before and after pics often, strictly for extra motivation. Not cheating is super hard, especially the first time around, but I fought thru and stayed away from that too. The support here on the boards is amazing. There would be so much more success, if everyone would make it a point to turn to all of the ADBBers, when they are feeling like the bottom's gonna fall out Before I met my fiance, this site was all I had in the way of support. I worked out alone, started this WOE alone, definitely not the easiest thing to do. My fiance is just as interested in staying healthy as I am, and has been a wonderful support system ever since we started dating! It helps that you can come here to the boards and vent, but it's even better when you have someone that you can talk to 24/7, that's as interested in watching your body transform as you are. I

f you are having trouble with your menu...visit the recipe forums here. They offer up some great varieties of foods to keep ya from getting bored. I even purchased a Better Homes and Gardens Low-carb Cookbook that's over 400 pages, and all of the recipes are 8 net grams of carbs or less! Make sure you research...that's the best way to stay up on this WOE.

If you are struggling with exercise, ease into it. 30 min a day, is a great start! I started out w/ 1 mile walks that took me about 20 min or so. After I dropped my first 80-85 lbs, I started to jog. (you don't have to run fast to see results) Even a fast paced power walk, gets the heart rate up more than enough to burn fat/calories. You can also go further with the power walk, than the jog, and the impact on the knees is not nearly as bad.

If you tend to crave sweets, that's not a problem. Kick the regular sweet stuff and work in sugar-free items, then slowly wean yourself off of them. It's hard to overdo the sugar-free stuff, without consequences AKA "The Laxative Effect"

If your problem is overeating, find a small-meduim sized plate...if it doesn't fit on the plate, don't eat it! Easiest portion control in the world! Also, drink 8-16 oz of water before and after each meal.

If you haven't already, start a journal! You can either join us in the Journal Chats Forum, or keep a personal weightloss journal...whatever your preference it really will make a difference.

Last but not least..take advantage of the challenges the boards have to offer! They seriously help keep you in check w/ this WOE. It suck to start a challenge and have to report that you didn't even get close to your goal....after that happens a few times, the competitive side seems to come out in all of us!

I really hope this helps. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.

You just keep looking better and better! What a great job you've done on transforming yourself. When faced with a pregnancy you didn't give up. When most of us would've used that as an excuse to quit, you didn't, you dug in, worked harder, and did even better! You're amazing girl.
