Thank you!!!!!! That was my point and you said it much better than I did! I am actually pretty lax with my 15 year old, I was thinking of others that are more strict with theirs. I don't like stepping on toes, just wanted to make sure that we were thinking of ALL our members.

Right After you post I turned on the television and there was the commerical for Girls gone Wild. In my opinion, which I can also have, unless your keeping someone in a dark closet, not letting them go to school, never letting them watch TV, not allowing them on internet or go to a beach, I am sure that that picture is not the worse thing your son or anyone elses has seen. It is not like she is hanging out all over the place. The suit is nicely covering what it is suppose to. She is proud of her accomplishment and has a right to be. Stiffling hormones can cause and Explosion.

I myself am a religious Christian also. While I don’t find the picture offense, inappropriate or anything like that, I can see where others might.

That is why I would like an adult’s only section on this site for more adult style pictures. If kids get through, there is nothing you can do about it. I am sure that kids looking for porn have plenty of other sites to look for it. I find it hard to believe that most teenagers have not looked at porn on the ‘net, even just out of curiosity. We were all young once, and do you remember what we got away with and the ‘stuff’ we saw. It is nothing compared to what kids see today.

The only real objection I see and think is valid is if someone pulls this site up at work and the pictures come up. That’s why I think we should have a section for adults-only, that way you know what you are looking at. We make it non-nude, but as adults I think we can look at a picture of someone in their undergarments and get to see how weight loss truly changed someone’s body.

            Greeneggsandham,
I don't mean this in a bad way, but are you sure it did not have something to do with the fact you were even on a site not related to work that almost got you in trouble? I mean if one of my employees was scanning the web and posting on my dime, they might be in a little bit of a basket too. Just a thought

Re: The difference 49 lbs makes

While most parents would like to think their children don’t look at stuff like this on ‘net, they know better or they just have their head in the sand.

I, like all the guys in here and most of the women looked at porn when I was a teenager. I didn’t treat women like trash, a playthings or anything like that. I don’t think it was anything but beneficial for my girlfriend and myself, since I had somewhat of an idea of what I was doing. The problem today isn’t that kids look at porn of the ‘net, it is what society and their parents let them get away with.

I was in the mall yesterday and saw a girl who couldn’t of been more than 12 wearing pink shorts that looked like underwear with the words ‘Hot Stuff’ on her a55. What kind of parent lets their kid wear that?

I would never let my daughter wear shorts or pants with any lettering on the butt. People are going to look, just to see what it says. A parent can’t get mad at someone for looking at their daughters butt because there is writing on there, its meant to looked at, that’s why it is written on there! You eyes are drawn to words, it is natural to look. Most men are like me and are not attracted to girls of that age, but there are pervs out there that are. I am not saying a girl should be dressed like she lives in Iran, but a parent is responsible for what their children wear and if they wear that then the parents are at fault.

What the OP did is fine to me. While there might be kids on here, they are far and few between and have seen 100x times more graphic photos. She looks very sexy and wants to flaunt it, so what? I am afraid she is going to take it the picture off so I copied it.

I lost much weight recently and was going to post pictures I had in a pair of boxers. Is that wrong of me?

That last thing I want my posts to do is discourage her weight loss. It is a HUGE accomplishment and it is something to be proud of. When she reads this, hopefully she will see that it has nothing to do with her weight loss and EVERYONE is proud of her[/quote]

Again I like Spartan's suggestion, it appeases everyone. I am not sticking my head in the sand. It just makes sense on many levels.

Re: The difference 49 lbs makes

LOL! I best Lifetastesbetter wasn't expecting this kind of discussion as a result of her achievement pictures!

SueSue, I agree that wasting time on the internet while at work is reason enough for an employer to get upset, but wasting time while looking at indiscrete pictures goes against the network policy I signed. Pictures of attractive women in lingerie showing cleavage falls into the "termination offenses" while checking the weekend weather or the latest scores when slow is a slap on the wrist.

111thINF, I agree with your example about the teens wearing promiscuous clothing. As a former high school youth volunteer at church, I am appalled at what some teens think is acceptable for church wear. I also think we agree that parents need to take more accountability for what their children are allowed to do.

Where I become concerned is when people make comments about how we shouldn't worry about provocative photos in public forums when there are much worse alternatives like GGW, Playboy, and internet porn. Should we allow our kids to play with handguns since they could be playing with shotguns, automatic rifles, or hand grenades? Perhaps we should turn the other cheek when a child steals a candy bar -- surely that's not as bad as stealing a television, a piece of jewelery or a car? What's the big deal if my son forces sex with his girlfriend (your daughter?) -- he could have raped a toddler, an old woman, or the handicapped child down the block!

Just because I did some things my parents wouldn't be proud of when I was a kid, that doesn't mean I want my kids to do them. Just because there are really bad things out there doesn't mean I let my kids dabble with the "minorly" bad things. No, I'm not ignorant of the things kids can see and do in today's society. I do however recognize that a small bowl of ice cream can lead to a complete abandonment of this WOE. In the same way, I can see how innocently stumbling across a provocative pic can lead to a desire to check out the GGW web site.

OK. Enough of the soap box on morality. I have no problem with INF posting a pic in boxers (although please wait until after the morning wood and don't go for the thong -- they might lead to another of these discussions!) Now what I'm really curious about is why someone would copy Lifetastesbetter's pics -- that seems a little odd to me...

I agree with perhaps an adults only thread warning or something.

It is amazing that looking at a naked or scantly clad body can be equated to kids playing with weapons, rape, or theft.

There are two kinds of people on this forum, those that have looked at porn before and those that lie about it. How many rapists, murdering, gun totting Atkins followers are on here?

So your son goes on the GGW site, big deal. I wouldn't want my son to do that either but sheltering him forever is futile. Once they become a teen there is nothing you can do, except teach them how to act like a gentleman and respect women. I don't respect women less because of what I looked at when I was a kid. Neither do 99.9% of the other people.
