Ok so I'm "being brave" and I dont just mean that as in my name, but I really am being brave by posting my beginning/restarting pics (they will shirtless just so you know, which means man-boobage). I just want to post them becuase I feel it's necessary for me to get motivated again, not to mention it's something that I've never done before. I have done atkins before but went off the WOL and got less active resulting in me gaining weight (about 40 pounds to be exact). Current weight is 240-245, I want to be 175-180. Height 5'11. When you see the pics I have a question, do you think the man boobs are just fat or gynecomastia (if you can tell just from looking :-\ ). Face is blacked out because it makes me feel more comfortable posting them.

This is a great first step for you and I, for one, and darn proud of you my friend! It's not an easy thing to post your before pics but one day you're going to look back and smile proudly because of your great success. I speak from experience, so much that I STILL post my before pics. I wish you tons of weight loss success.

i dont know if your "man boobs" are just fat or something else, but i felt like i had em too and once i started losin weight they got better and eventually they were gone. i recommend you do some chest weight training if your really worried about it. but i think that if you stay motivated and on plan as much as you can. im sure your results will be very positive and very much deserved. sometimes for motivation i would just focus on one muscle group so i could see how pumped it would get. once i started doin that my confidence started goin way up, and on days i had no weight loss i just told myself it was cause i gained muscle.

You are going to do great!!! In a few months you won't want to black out your face, you will be so proud of your new body. As far as the chest question...idk. Did you have lots of breast tissue when you were younger and thinner? If you didn't, my guess is that it is just good ol' adipose tissue and it is going to melt away soon. Good luck to you!!Lori

i never really was thinner when I was younger. I was always the chubby and fat kid. And when I was thinner when I lost the first time, I could have standed to lose another few pounds soooo it's hard to say. My goal was 170-180 and i only get down to 200 (briefly for a couple days touched 195).M - 22

I'm a newbie and just wanted to say how brave you are. I'm too scared to post mine just yet, but seeing if you can do it, maybe I can too. Good luck with the weightloss.. how fab will it be when we can start doing the comparisons..
