I started Atkins in February and began running in April. I lost 6 pounds during induction and proceeded to average 5 pounds a month lost. I stuck with it. For all the new people who worry they aren't losing fast enough, this takes time. The slower you lose the easier it is to maintain and really have this become just the way you live instead of a diet. It's a long road and I may never get to goal. I look and feel a lot better than I ever did though and I am happy. I'm 6 weeks into training for my first marathon! On months I only lose a pound I still lose inches. I go to restaurants and parties and feel comfortable because this WOL just sits with me now. I am healthy, my skin is better, my eczema isn't perfect but dang it I don't have to shave my head anymore. Low Carb and Atkins changed my life. C25K changed my life. This board and all the people who gave of themselves, posted pictures and advice, changed my life as well. Thank you. When the going gets slow, keep doing what works and stay the course. Don't get crazy creative trying to outdo the good doctor. Just stay the course and follow the rules and get to OWL as quickly as possible. Your body will get the hint and do what it needs to do.
