  • just a little update..

    Hi to everyone, i havent been able to get on the forum lately,
    i had a lot of hrs in at work, just wanted to update a little, i am
    still walking and its going great i feel so much better and now my
    kids are going with me, they love it.........My husband bought me
    a pedometer and its great i didnt realize how many steps i took
    in one day, the walking book says to walk about 10,000 steps a
    day............i havent made it quite that much yet but im working
    on it a great deal, has anyone used one of these before? well hope
    everyone had a great easter and i will talk soon.....thanks jessica

    I cant believe i have had so many hits and no replies.
    whats going on in here i thought this was suppose to
    be a support sight..... dissappointed.............jess

      I think you posted this in the wrong forum is all. I have a pedometer and I walk about 7000-8000 steps per day when I do my walks. Still have yet to hit 10,000 but it's definitely up from the pitful 2000 I started at.

        I've been doing that 10K a day program since Jan 2003 and one thing you should know isthe 10000 steps is only for heart health weight loss needs 12500 a day minimum. Yep you can sneak extra steops in marching in place while you wait or do standing chores. taking the long way to get places just time if you run to the bathroom on a different floor of your office building every time you have to go how many free exercise steps you can get.

            Glad to hear you are getting into exercising, the pedometer is a great idea it gives you that extra little motivation to beat your "record". Keep up the great work.

                Hey thanks to everyone for the motivation tips its great to
                know that i can get some feedback.........walking has been
                going awsome and now that the weather is getting warmer
