remember to take youre measurements too. you may lose inches when the scale stops moving. this whole last 8 days ive been trying to get off 2-3lbs that came back last weekend and nothing budged, but on my weekly measure day found out i'd actually dropped another inch. then today, the extra weight came off all at once. our bodies are weird and we're doing weird things to them. dont expect jaw-dropping change overnight, but do keep a record of change. after a few more weeks, that downward patterns going to make you feel very proud of yourself whether you see the difference or not.

Re: almost 3 weeks into induction phase

Yesterday morning I woke up and had lost more weight and weighed 280, today I weighed myself in my usual ritual to get as accurate as I can a weight. And I gained a pound!
              Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo

Ya know what me and my wife think it is? My sister who was on atkins for a long time. Said I can eat sugar free jello, and I did. I ate 1 then 2 then all of a sudden whenever I only had 2 jello left... I decided to look on the back at the nutritional info. Drum roll please... Da Da Daaaaaaaaaaa Aspertame! I was like awww fowllll!!!
So since I am one of those people who can't take it (Aspertame messed up my atkins in the past) I was wondering if now I am basicily back to phaze 1?
Does anybody know this? I dunno, I guess it really doesn't matter, its just a pound. Suffice it to say, no more jello. hehehe

I want to get a before and after pic on here but I have compassion on my fellow human beings lol. I accepted my ugliness longggg ago. I'm not sure yet how to upload photos, but I got a facebook!

Those pictures are when I worked offshore, my glasses broke so my captain ducktaped them to my head lol I look pretty retarded. But if you search around, I have a normal pic on there with my wife while we were at our sons baby shower.
Those are just before pictures, as soon as I can, I will have some after pics for yall

Re: almost 3 weeks into induction phase

A pound or two up and down day by day is just normal fluctuation... absolutely nothing to get worked up about. If you're gonna weigh daily, you have to look at the trend rather than the up and down fluctuations.

Myself, for example... I just dropped down to a new low of 287.5. Now I can almost gaurantee that over the next couple of days, my weight will go up a couple of pounds then drop back down to a new low. If it goes up more than a couple of pounds and/or stays up for too long, then it's time to get concerned.

This is why everybody strongly recommends to NOT weigh yourself every day... but once a week or longer.

Ohhh I c I c... Thanks for that. I usually wake up, go use the bathroom, and then weigh myself. As I go through the day I can weigh myself in the evening and I will have gained a couple of pounds in the day, and then usually, drop them plus more in the morning. Or at least that's how it was before I gained this one pound.

Good progress so far. Trust me it is always hard to notice the visual difference on yourself. It took me noticing my clothes fitting better but folks who didn't see me very often always noticed the difference. Keep fighting the good fight.
