    5 month Sucess!!

Last year I went on the Atkins diet for 5 months not thinking I would be able to do it like all other diets. I weighed 330lbs when I started. I really didn't stick to the atkins train of though because I cut all carbs out when I started. I was eating less than 3g of carbs a day for the first month. After the 5th month I loss 70lbs and was down to 260lbs. There is no better feeling than to see the weight dropping off the scale. Unfortunately I went through tough times and in the past 6 months I have put all the weight back on but I am starting the diet again, actually today is the first day.

Wow what an amazing accomplishment - its understandable that we go through issues and we begin to side track. It seems so much easier not to care - but just remember that not only are you going to go through the hard times BUT on top of that then struggle with your weight gain AGAIN - and that alone can bring your spirits down.

Don't let it get to you and know that we go through challenges all the time - keep it up and I'm happy to see you joined again. I, too am an Atkins veteran, lol.

My story sounds a lot like yours.. I lost 60 lbs. in 4 months when I went on the Atkins diet a few years ago. I was actually not doing it the "correct" way, but it worked for me, only eating about 5 grams of carbs a day. Now I'm back at square one, but starting over today Good Luck! If you need a support bud, just email me Brandee_92@yahoo.com anytime!
