  • My journey so far. 43lbs in 43 days

    Hello All,

I started Atkins on 5-18-09, so I have been on extended induction for 43 days. I decided on extended induction because I have so much weight to lose. I will probably move on once I hit 300lbs. This has been such a positive change in my life, I can't imagine quitting , or trying a different way of eating. I have finally gotten the nerve to post some face pictures. I am having a hard time finding any sort of body shots because I hid from cameras. In 43 days I have lost 43 lbs, and I hope to continue this trend

Well, my motivation for staying on the plan, has been pretty simple. I am just tired of feeling like I didn't deserve to feel good. I would say to myself, "I wish I could lose weight. I wish I could feel good about the way I look." But those days are done now. I have gotten so much inspiration from the people on this site, it has also motivated me. I have 2 daughters, and rarely did I have the energy to play with them, or do fun things with them. Now I can't wait to some home and be with them. This change has to be from the inside out. I'm not trying to get all touchy feely or anything. but truly, if you are going to succeed in this, it has to be a change from the inside out. I stick to the induction foods in the book, and I drink at least 100 ounces of water a day.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words. It means so much.
