    Here are my starting pics. These were taken at the beginning of June of 08.







    Here are my progress pics. These were taken about 1 week ago I was at 211







    My next major goal is to be under 200. After that I am going to re-evaluate and see how much more weight I want to lose. I think that an ultimate goal would be 185.

          Heaviest weight - 403 lbs. (2007)
          April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
          Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
          1st major goal met -----100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.
          2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
          3rd major goal met - Wed, May 13-09 - Reached losing 200 lbs. in just over a year and a couple of months.
          4th major goal met – Reached “Onederland” June 6-09 – 198 lbs.
          5th major goal met - My 1 yr. Atkins anniversary - Weighing 184 lbs. this day
          Current weight – 178 lbs.
          Goal weight - 150 – 160

            Thanks everybody. I usually take pics every couple of weeks, so I will have to keep it up to date.

                  I would like 2 apologize in advance because I dont want to offend you with my next question. With that said, what did u do/use to minimize the appearance of your stretch marks? I've noticed that there's a HUGE difference in your before and afters. The ones on your love handles (...well, lack thereof) are completely gone and the ones on your belly are almost gone as well. Please share your secret!

                      I have been hitting the gym. I have been doing crossift mixed in with some heavy lifting (squats, deadlifts, powercleans, presses ..., no isolation stuff). I feel strong and I have some muscle I just need to get rid of the fat covering it.

                        I am not offended, that is why we are here to ask questions and learn from each other.

                        I don't really have a secret or anything special I have been doing for them. It has taken me over a year to get where I am at. I think that along with those stretch marks were pretty new (aka I really balloned up my last year in college) has made them not so noticable, maybe my skin was only stretched to its max when I was my biggest for not that long of time.

                        Sorry if that is not a very good answer for you, I hope that helps. It just takes time

                            You have made wonderful progress! What all kinds of exercises did you do to get rid of the dreaded back fat? I'm working on that now.....did you have to do any one exercise in particular, or did your back just smooth out as you lost the weight?

                              For back exercises I have done a ton of pullups and deadlifts. I can really tell a difference in my lats as far as them being bigger. Last summer I couldn't do a single pullup, now I can do 5 in a row. Thats not ton but its better than none. I dont do any isolation exercises. There is no need to sculpt the guns when there is a layer of fat over them. I have really just lost weight all over gradually.
