  • before - during - restart - during - and back to before pics!

    Here's a timeline of my weight gain/loss...



    I grew up heavy, this is me in 11th grade, before losing weight from running on a treadmill everyday, but I was about the same wieght after I had my son, and I was camera shy then so this is the closest I can come to a before everything pic:



    This was after I had my son, and I did Atkins for the first time, I was in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship that he said was all because "I was fat and disgusting"... I lost the weight and him







    Then, years went by, I got comfortable again and camera shy again and this is the only picture (even though I cropped it) that I could find that shows part of my weight gain again... check out that yummy arm:





    Then, in 2007, I got hot again... in these pics I was a size 8 and sadly, I remember thinking I still needed to lose 30 lbs. on top of what I'd lost by that point... my goals have since changed:









    I don't have any pics between 2007 and this June 2009 pic below, but my weight went back up to 189 in there somewhere and then I did Atkins again, and in the beginning of June 2009 (this year!) I was 156 on this picture:




    And, for my 25th birthday, September 25th THIS YEAR only 2 and a half months later, my mom took this HORRIFIC pic of my son, my Grandma, and I... I've never seen a picture where I look this big and it was mortifying... I'm 175ish in this pic... and to think of the 196lb. days where no camera was allowed in the same room as me... I never thought I looked this bad, even at 196 I didn't think I looked this big... This picture was the biggest wake-up call ever. And, thus, my inspiration for this time around.

    I have to say you look so good on your slimmer pictures how we all admire our slimmer pics.I kept my old pics and throughout the whole time on atkins I used to look at them regularly that kept me more motivated because I wanted to look like that again.Im sure you will match your chosen after pic just believe in yourself and give it a 100%.All the best.Your gorgeous anyway.

      Yes, you are beautiful, either size but I definitely see why you want to lose. I guess my question is why so much yo yoing? Is it Atkins that you can't stay on? Is that why you regain? Or are there other reasons? Did you ever find out what your maximum carb intake without gaining? I would be looking to address that so that this time when you drop all that weight it doesn't come back and you find a way of eating that you can live with!

      I'm not coming down on you and I pray this doesn't come across that way. I too am on my second round of Atkins. I lost all my weight back in 99 and regained it after a pregnancy and got stupid thinking I could lose it again any time I got ready.

      Another question I have is more personal, when I did lose the 60 pounds back then I also lost my bre*st. To the point that I even considered an enhancement. After getting pregnant they returned though. Did you experience this at all??? Your pictures do not look like it, was there a particular exercise or something that you did to help in this area? Feel free not to answer if I overstepped the line!

        I can understand you asking Plsmachic what exercises she did to retain her bust, but the question on my lips, is what did you do to loose yours?!?!?

        Whatever it is, I want to start doing what you were doing! lol

          As I lost weight, they just deflated. I suppose it could have come from losing too fast because I did lose really fast my first go round. I was 28-29 then too. I didn't really do anything, just followed the low carb diet. I believe I did remain in Induction (which technically I can't call it Induction because I did eat peanut butter and other unallowed foodss...0 but I stayed 20 carbs or less for several months. I'm afraid of losing them this go round! I do NOT want to go back there!

            I didn't do any exercises to keep them.. I was just extremely lucky when I lost weight I lost from everywhere but my boobs...? They're not perky, they werent even before I had my son... that's just clever angles and laying on the floor and camera tricks dear... I remember when I saw that pic the first thing out of my mouth was, 'hey hunny, come here! look at my boobs inthis pic'

            lol - they never look like that on a day-to-day basis

              Thanks for posting your story in pics Plsmachic!
              You did it before, you can do it again... and this time for keeps! We'll help... we have loads of tips here... and a ton of superglue!
