    I really can't believe I am doing this. I know as a guy I should not be such a little girl about the way I look, but you must understand that before my car accident, I was in good shape. I was in the gym like it was an ordained religion. I was bench pressing 410lbs at my max and was leg pressing 1500lbs; I was HUGE, but in a good way, lol. Now I am not saying that I was ever thin or ever resembled the BIM charts, but FUUUUUUUUGe, I have never looked this bad. To be honest with you, these are the first pics EVER that I have taken with nothing on, save the shorts and I have to be honest, it sickens me. Lets all get real for a moment! We all visually perceive our selves in one for or another, but we never see our selves as we really are; that is until it slaps you in the face, as it just done me.... Blah!

    I like to joke around and I have probably the sickest since of humor that most anyone will meet, but I am just disgusted!!!

    Well time to get on with it.... Introducing a specimen that every 19th turn of the century Freak Show exhibition would have killed to have, I present to you, my pics...

    First, let me congratulate you for having the courage to show these. Second, you don't look as bad as you think you do. We are always are own worst critics. Ok, you have some work to do, but it's do-able. You can do it! There are people here who have lost much more than you need to. Take a look at some of the before and afters in this forum. It's amazing, and inspirational.

    Put a copy of one of your pics somewhere you will see it each day, like on the refrigerator, that will help you reach for water and celery instead of something else. I'm always shocked when I see a picture of myself, and realize that my body imagine doesn't match what I feel, or think I look like. I guess it helps to take a picture now and again so we can see what others are seeing.

    You can change that picture, and you will I know it, because you want to. Best of luck.

      You think those are bad? No way man! There are plenty around who have a greater challenge than you do.
      Anyway, kudos to you for having the courage to post your befores. You really won't regret it when you have afters to compare them with. Looking forward to seeing those in the not too distant future. I just know you'll make your goal of "Dead Sexxxy" very soon.

        I was expecting so much worse - you're shaped alot like my hub, and he's 'doable'

        Anyway, you've made a great decision to join this forum, it has so much to offer. I suggest joining as many challenges as you can handle. This is a great way to get back into exercise. I now look forward to it, just so I can come out here and post!

        Also, start a journal - it's a good place to focus on you.

          As Barrnone, I was also expecting a lot worse in the pics - you're a lot like my fella too - perfectly do-able.

          Stick with us pal, you'll start feeling really good very soon once the lbs start to shift - and they will and quickly. Good on you for the before pictures - in a couple of weeks you'll look on them as your inspiration when you see your progress.

              I didnt think your pics were bad at all.You should not put yourself that down and should love yourself nomatter what size you are.Even when you slim down the body will still be the same so learn to love it.Its a good job you posted them because now you can compare the differences with your after ones.All the best.

                You all are too kind, but tell all my Exs that, lol. One thing about living in Miami, when your belly starts slop'n the chicks stop rock'n. The only Dunlop the girls want to see is those on the wheels of Ferrari's.

                    You're not the only one in the world who has become disgusted with your looks. But you should know that you have the power to change what you don't like. Here are some before and after pics of my DH and me. Atkins is work, but the rewards are SOOOOO worth it! Make it a lifestyle and you will be successful.

                    This pic is really old, but we both gained even more weight after that!

                      I know exactly how you feel. I was super ashamed of posting my before pics, but you are a brave person for doing it. It's not easy leaving yourself vulnerable like that. You have taken the first steps to your new body. Just wait until you get to post some of those after pics, than you will be SO SO SO happy you posted the before ones. Also be sure to measure. Sometimes your weight doesn't budge, but you are still losing inches. Best of luck. I can't wait to see your progress.
