    Can't believe I'm doing this. Before and 1 month pic

    Have never in my life posted pics of me on the net. Posted kids a lot on my chat boards but this is taking a huge leap for me.

    Here goes. Before, think about 6 weeks ago.



    Today, technically a month will be in 2 days since I started on the 18th but I had my 4th weigh in yesterday so close enough.

    Atkins Start date: 01/18/2010--Now off plan for med reasons, still an Atkins lover!

      You look great, and do I detect a smile in the second picture? People tend to smile more on this plan, I think it has something to do with carb withdrawal delirium...just kidding.

        LOL yeah I noticed that too. Much easier to smile when you are happier about how you look. I have a chin again.

        Still a ways to go but completely positive I'll get there.

            I cant' believe one month could make that much difference. Think this is one of the few pics I have liked in the last 10 or so years. Never thought I'd like having pictures taken again. Maybe for the first time I'll actually be in some of the vacation pictures. People who look through our yearly vaca. pics would think DH was a single parent. I'm no where to be seen.

                      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                      what the rungs mean to me:
                      rung 1 - more veggies
                      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                      rung 4 - berries, melon
                      rung 5 - wine -
                      rung 6 - beans, hummus
                      rung 7 - other fruits
                      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                      (on to pre-maintenance)

                        Jules I noticed our stats matched, that's cool.


                        I gotta agree I think I look a lot younger now. I use to always look much younger than I was. When I had DS Dh actually got yelled at for getting me pregnant by some older ladies, saying he should be ashamed of himself (I was 21 LOL). When we'd go to town everyone assumed I was his DD instead of his wife since he's older than I am by 11 years.

                        No one makes that mistake anymore, I definitely started looking my age, plus some. Feel like I turned the clock back a few years, inside and out. Can't wait to see what goal looks like.
