
I am a returning to the Atkins Lifestyle again after many years. I was on Weight Watchers and lost six pounds, but the problem was that I was always hungry, which I think hunger is every diet's downfall, EXCEPT for this one!
I like to use the Ketone strips to monitor my Ketosis. I am on the low-fat version of Atkins, eating fish and chicken and the cholesterol-free eggs and trying to eat greens and salads as much as possible. I have lost 1 1/2 pounds in two days! On Weight Watcher, not saying anything bad about it, but I would struggle to lose that in a week! I have a picture of me taken May 9 at my mom's house with my kids and I looked so fat and bloated, I didn't want anyone to see it! I couldn't believe it was me! Things have gotten way out of hand. I weigh as of yesterday, 198 pounds. My goal is to weigh 160 like I did five years ago. I believe that my body just absorbs sugar and carbs like a sponge and this is a lifestyle that I will have to stick to the rest of my life to maintain my weight at 160.
